None of us are experts or see them much on the field...

But from what we have seen, who would you rather see out there on the field?

I'd say McCray mainly because he has played more on defense - albeit in special packages - and i don't recall him being a liability thus far.

Yeah i like him a lot as well....

but both ran 4.4...and both are 6-1.....good size and speed on both.

Silva looks weird out there...like a raw athlete trying to play safety

Mccray will probably play the majority of the snaps,I just hope Sensy is back so that we can have Carr take on Marshall instead of being a safety.

I only remember seeing either of them with significant playing time during the preseason, and Silva stood out more in my mind.

McCray has way more experience...he's actually played meaningful snaps before in his career. Used to play some nickel LB in years past

I think Silva has the higher ceiling, but McCray is more ready. I can possibly see Silva developing into a solid starter in a few years. I don't see McCray ever being more than what he's been for us.

Silva. Doesn't look like he's afraid to hit.

My thoughts too. I actually thought that McCray would emerge before Church. Have to trust Rob on this one.

He might have more range than Silva, but he is not stout at the point of attack like Church was, sigh...

Sensy might be moved back to SS.

That's because he is. He's barely played safety in his football career.

Silva stood out when he climbed up the back of a Tampa receiver. He's also a 15 yard penalty waiting to happen.

Interesting that most here picked Silva......

I saw him make a few plays.

I just couldn't decide between him and McCray.

Both would be good in my opinion. I'll trust the coaches' judgement on this one.

McCray

He also played a heck of a lot more defensive snaps

Loved his celebrating after as well, I just wasn't sure if he was celebrating that he thought he made a great play or if he was celebrating because he hadn't seen a flag yet.

* Neither one can cover more than a short zone.
