Posted by Mike Florio on February 26, 2008, 10:01 a.m.
With rumors swirling that Arkansas running back Darren McFadden has fathered as many as four children with four different women, his agent, Ian Greengross, confirms that there are three children who might be McFadden’s.
McFadden submitted to a paternity test for a child born last year, and it was determined that he wasn’t the father. But a problem with the chain of custody will require McFadden to take the test again. (Apparently, Kramer spilled spaghetti sauce on the last one.)
Two other kids, one due to be born in July and the other one in August, were allegedly fathered by McFadden. Greengross told the Miami Herald that McFadden will submit to testing after the kids are born.
Greengross says that McFadden has no other children.

As Florio says, there are worse pastimes... dog fighting, etc.
Still you gotta question his judgement if only to know that when women know you about to get in the league, you gotta be more careful, cuz they wanna go to the league too.
It will call into question his character. That's only natural given the huge amount of money they will have to invest in these guys.khiladi;1970901 said:What does his children have to do with his football game?
NFL players are bonin' women all the time on the road...

I witnessed it first hand when I was undergrad. There were a female that I personally knew had to have a restraining order placed against her, because the dude she dated all throughout college dumped her just before his senior year when he knew he was going to the league. She literally stalked him until he left school to prepare for the draft.slick325;1970907 said:As always, thanks for the info WG. Your statement is so true and I never understand why these guys don't realize it.

Just saying it's nothing new...and he McFadden should've known better.
Here at Arizona a girl went to the Administration and told them to give her a full ride or she was going to "bring down the basketball program."WoodysGirl;1970924 said:I witnessed it first hand when I was undergrad. They didn't take her seriously. A week later she accused one of the players, a 19 year old kid at the time (she was 24) of rape. Khalid Reeves' name got dragged through the mud by the press and her name never once got mentioned that I remember.
Her rape case ended up being dropped by the authorities when 9 of the active 12 players on the team admitted that they had been with her and she liked things "freaky."
I always felt she should have been charged with something and she never was.

I guess they don't teach economics at Arkansas....
BraveHeartFan;1970834 said:I wouldn't hold it against him but if he's saying he has 2 on the way, and he's in a paternity suit over another one? 3 kids, 3 different women, and the dude can't even legally buy beer yet?
That doesn't bode well for his choice making ability.
Other than this travesty you know what I remember most about Khalid? He had a Toyota Corolla that had the steering wheel on the right side of the car. Don't ask me why that sticks out, but it does.slick325;1970966 said:I remember that story vaguely Hos. I agree that bringing false claims or in this case extortion should be pursued more enthusiastically by police and prosecuters in cases similar to this.
As an aside, Khalid Reeves had a nice game. I played against him in basketball camps and in AAU games.

I was coaching there at the time. The coaching staffs of every sport were called to the Administration for a meeting to discuss what was about to happen and how we needed to meet with our athletes.DeepBleu;1971069 said:so do you know who the other 8 players were? also was the first paragraph a joke, or did the u of a administration really confirmed that such exchange took place prior to the rape allegation by khalid reeves?

I know 5 of the players who came forward, but won't drag their names in the mud.
My memory is just as screwed up. I sent you a PM. I was with Don Bacon when I learned of this. I coached with him at Sahuaro High School, so this had to be shared with us at a football seminar at the UA and would be several years before I went there for a year.DeepBleu;1971118 said:thanks for the info. i remember the case, but i didn't know she was 24. for some obscure reasons, i remember this girl as an under-aged minor. of course that was a long time ago, and my memory is not getting better as time progresses.
