Should we start a poll and start taking bets on when mcfadden goes down.

A thread like that was started weeks ago prior to his second hamstring injury. After the first poll and how quick he got injured I don't think we should start taking another one. I'm just hoping he makes it to the season opener healthy.

I'm looking forward to seeing both of them. The running game is the biggest question mark of this offseason. We need to see if these guys are the answer.

May be hard to judge with 3 of our starting OL looking like they won't play.

Hope he can be decent. People like to make comparisons between him and Murray (same age, similar injury histories) but there's really no comparison because Murray showed glimpses of greatness his whole career and it finally manifested when everything came together. Not only has McFadden not shown that he can stay healthy, but he also hasn't shown that he's a good RB in the NFL. I'm pulling for him because he has freak athleticism (really a Bo Jackson Light if you look at the numbers) and this O-line is nasty enough to help any RB. This is a career defining year for McFadden. Was he unlucky with injuries and a bad Raiders environment or is he a bust and nothing but a combine hero?

If he cuts wrong on that turf, he may explode into a fine pink mist. I'd prefer he waits until the dress rehearsal.

This logic fails to be logical. If an athlete is THAT injury prone he won't make it past game #1 anyway. So might as well find out now. Protecting these guys from themselves is useless.

I think most people that watch the tape, don't see Murray as more talented. If anything people see better burst and top end speed with McFadden. Also, McFadden fumbles less and blocks as good or better and is probably a better route runner.

With Murray, you have a style that punishes the defense more. But put Murray on the Raiders team, and I'm not convinced he looks all that "great".

Really excited to see McFadden and Randle... seeing as the only question mark for our team is running back.

Maybe you should qualify some of that with the word "mostly" when discussing McFaddens lack of success.

He's has some (mostly short) stretches of absolute brilliance.
Also, he did have season where he had 1664 yards from scrimmage and > 5 ypc....in 13 games.
Some make it sound like he's had zero success.
That's not true.

What is true is that he's been injured a ton and his games missed don't even fully reflect because he has played injured a lot as well.
