McFadden is one of those typical Dallas backs over the years (Not named Zeke or Emmitt or Dorsett), that is one guy away from housing it, only to trip over his feet or get tackled by a diving safety who arm tackles him

Not sure I agree totally on that one. McFadden has or had elite straight line speed (4.3 40yd). Whether he still has that straight line speed or whether he trusts it is totally different. I recall 2 years ago he broke the line of scrimmage on more then one occasion and then seemed to not be able to hit the 4th gear he used to have. Far as juke ability I absolutely agree. He doesn't have many moves or possess the ability to make folks miss. Probably never did. He was a big back with lots of speed but with not much lower body strength. Has always had bird legs and bird legs don't generate much lower body strength. I think conversely Zeke does everything better then McFadden. Also a lot less wear on a 2 year old car frame then a 8 year old car frame.
I agree with pretty much everything you say. I would say the speed you are talking about is in open field, but as others have point out his legs seem a little lanky and one hit usually does begins his descend to the turf

While Elliot does seem to have all the traits of the three backups combined, the three have individual pluses that our coaching staff needs to manage and manage it well

I would like to see more Smith. He has a little more zig and zag in his style running where Alfred Morris is more straightaway runner.
McFadden I think is a little unique as he is average in both speed and jukr ability. I think his strength is finding a hole and using his strength to get through it.

McFadden has poor vision and has very little juke ability. He is a straight line runner that has lost his top line speed. Morris is the much better back. Pass catching, not so much.

I would be shocked as all hell if Morris winds up being a better back than Dmac.

McFadden has elite straight speed. His anticipation and quickness are not elite.

But better that Alfred's...Boggles my mind why he is still sitting on gameday.

If they plan is to keep him fresh...if Elliott is suspended...that I could understand. But AM was gonna be the lead back Sunday until this last minute repreive.

No, you don't, and no, you aren't.

Plus, you have the moves and swivel of an ironing board.

Rod Smith is far better than you are.
erod-----that description is both accurate and funny...he has no juke

McFadden ain't gonna start. He's gonna suit up as the 3rd back.

1. Alfred Morriss
2. Rod Smith
3. Darren McFadden

People need to calm down.

his ability to break ankle tackles is not elite. The year he got 1000 yards for the team how many runs did he have where his speed was there but some dude pulled his shoe laces and he was down.

Morris if given full reps would actually be a decent replacement. I remember Morris ran all over us in 2012 like we were a floor mat.

Well, we were a doormat from a defensive line perspective in 2012.

There was a movie, 'Make it and they will come.' I'll just wait until they make...

would rather see Dallas go with more youth next year especially if Zeke has to start season with 6 game suspension.

He has enough speed to run around the edges but he’s a place holder at best...

Is McFadden even going to be active on Sunday?

Probably not, but why not, why not make Morris inactive for a change up. It would add a wrinkle for KC to have to deal with and he still can make chunk plays now and then.

Zeke is going to be a load for them to handle as our primary RB this game. I doubt that the half dozen snaps his backup gets is go to matter if it's McFadden or Morris.
