If you can't extend your arms fully, how do you pass protect or stiff arm a tackler?

Wouldn't that eliminate a good portion of your strength in those areas?

No, the arm is locked at its extension limit, just less extended by a minuscule amount.

Can still do cartwheels.

Sorry if this has already been posted. Figured this was worth discussing. If he doesn't get it back, what does that mean for catching the ball and also pass protection? And why is he still on our roster?

Well.......I have a total of 13 pins and screws in my left elbow.

Crushed it on my mountain bike. Big hill, lotsa air.........abandoned truck fender on the other side.

I was told the same thing by the Doctor, surgeon and physical therapist.

I have full range of motion. I can't extend it 100% (at about 95% extension.) and it doesn't inhibit me at all.

Best thing I did was remove the cast the day they put it on. They eventually made me a removable cast because I could NOT stand being immobile.

After the last physical therapy session the therapist agreed that removing the cast, and being smart about that, was very helpful in recovery.........she wouldn't tell the surgeon that. ;)

She said joints are made for motion and 10 weeks in a cast would definitely set a precedence for full recovery.

Went back to see the surgeon about 6 months later and he performed a full range motion test and was speechless..............

FWTW................
