Glad we were able to see what this young man has to offer as a player.

I have been beating the drum that we need to evaluate our young back ups under real game conditions to see if we have any other diamonds in the rough like we found with Free last year.

I would like to see more of McGee next game.
More Sam Young and less Columbo would be nice as well.

He did not have a good game and in reality he should have thrown another pick six. Miles made the plays and bailed him out

How do we know? If there was a handcuffed gameplan, this was it.

Lolwut? Are you Theissman? The "almost pick" where the safety ran through Martelleus' back to dive and poke the ball away.

And Miles hasnt bailed anyone out this year. McGee threw a beauty and the ball got stuck in Miles teeth

Correct, he looked like a 3rd string QB. I was against drafting a rookie QB but now I see the need. Kitna is old and the current 3rd string has a low ceiling.

McGee sure is a quick guy though. He escapes the rush like Romo did back when he came into the league.

Are you trolling? He came in and threw a game winner on a dime

He had a couple of poor throws, but he did play very well for a 2nd yr guy in his first real game action. The TD throw to Austin was a perfect pass. He made alot of good decisions too.

The bottom line is he put the team into a position to win the game, and the defense & kicker failed to do their jobs. He put two tds and a FG on the board in one half of play,in a road game where his team trailed. Not sure what more you could hope for from your 3rd string QB in his first real game action.

Still needs much improvement, but I like what I saw.

Didn't make stupid decisions. Avoided the rush. Made plays when he had to. And threw a game leading touchdown pass with less than 2 minutes left. In his first ever game time experience. Hell of a game for the kid.

And shut up about it nearly being intercepted, QBs have those kind of balls all the time. Also, "if ifs and buts were candy and nuts everyone would have a Merry Christmas."

I think so too. Kitna and Romo are well regarded by the fans, he is a nobody who came into a tough situation and eased himself (with JGs help) into the game. I thought he did pretty well and his interview after the game showed how sad he was to lose.

Bullcrap..

That was a perfectly placed pass.

On the dime? That pass should have been picked off. :lmao:

should have would have could have...

McGee sucks, has no shot in league...3rd stringer at best!! Move On...

I just wanted to chime in and say I liked what I saw in limited time (and with limited prep) from McGee.

That TD pass to the corner of the end zone after stepping up into the pocket while under intense pressure was a moment of perfection. Those that say it should have been picked should visit the nearest optometrist stat.

That is all. Back to your babbling...

This!

LOL at those who got excited about McGee's performance last night. Just another wasted "project" pick of ours that isn't going to amount to anything and we won't end up getting any value from.

He played like a 3rd string guy who hasn't seen the field since the preseason. He needs a lot of work, but I would not give up on him and draft another rookie, since Romo will hopefully have another 5 or 6 years of play left in him.

Just like Skelton, he looked really bad on a lot of plays and they both made some plays in crunch time. Neither of the defenses on the field were any good, so it will be hard to really evaluate them both.

IMO, the best thing about him was what he didn't do ....

... he didn't turn over the ball, he didn't make stupid mistakes, he didn't lose his poise.

Also, his game winning TD pass (should have been) was a fantastic throw.

He's already as good as Brad Johnson.
