"2. What was going through the mind of the misguided juveniles who used gasoline to desecrate the front lawn of the house in Chandler, Ariz., where McNabb and his wife, Roxie, live with their children over the offseason. According to a friend of Mrs. McNabb’s, “Go Cards” and other similar messages were burned into the front lawn one night last week. This had to be especially scary to the couple’s four-year-old daughter, Alexis, who was staying in the house with Roxie and the couple’s six-week-old twins. Apparently one of the culprits was identified after leaving a box at the scene with a mailing label affixed bearing his name and address, so we’re obviously not talking about criminal masterminds here. But it’s tough to imagine that anyone over the age of eight doesn’t understand that burning something on the lawn of a house occupied by African-Americans carries deeper social overtones that are highly disturbing. I’m told Donovan took a photo of the damaged lawn and used it as a motivating force for Sunday’s game. I hope it’s the last time he or any other professional athlete ever has that opportunity. "

Wow Card fans really showing who they are..I would expect this from eagle fans..but Card fans?? You've been "good" for like the past 3 weeks now? So now your legit? Please spare me

just cause McNabb is black doesnt mean it is a hate or race crime....sheesh. Why even bring it up. I am tired of the race card being pulled out by the media everytime something happens to a black man or woman. I never see the race card when something happens to a latino or asian.

This was just an immature and illegal display of vandalism over a football game. Some fans need to learn how to check their fandom. The parents of these children need to be fined and brought to justice. There is no reason to go to someones home and vandalize their stuff, under any circumstances.

I despise McNabb with a passion, as I am sure many of you do. I doubt any of us would do such a dispicable act, even when we were teenagers. I also, believe that most of us wouldn't even mock him if we saw him in public. Now if we are at the stadium, he is fair game for ridicule. But outside the stadium, he deserves his personal space and privacy.

Hey,no one got hurt. Just a prank. If this happened to a Cowboys player I guarantee the whole sports world would laugh!

I tell you what. Go ahead and post your address on here and we'll let some one come over to your house, pour gasoline all over your front yard and then set it on fire in the middle of the night for your little kids to see...then you can call it just a prank. Idiot.

Wow, stupid kids. I could see maybe TP'ing his house, but to damage his lawn? That's just dumb.

Don't think Eagles fans wouldn't have done the same thing.

They'd probably do much worse. Did you see the damage they did after they WON the world series? Most of them are crazy.

It's like the media takes one thing and spins to develop the most sensational angle possible...

Sound familiar?

You mean the kids that love bon fires, fireworks, and explosions and loud noises?

Yeah, I'm sure those kids are scared for life.

I don't despise McNabb but I hate the Eagles and I'll admit much of it is their owning the Cowboys lately.

I actually admire McNabb. He just comes up short too often but he's a very, very good QB much of the time. Too often for me. No one deserves to be treated that way. It could even cause their children some psychological harm. A very not funny.

what we would like to do and what we would actually do are two different things......that is the difference between civilized and uncivilized. both have the same ugly and dark thoughts.....however, the civilized are above acting out those thoughts.

i want to drown him in a giant bowl of Chunky Soup...and then let that fat piece of garbage Andy Reid eat the entire bowl.....McNabb and all.

Doesn't matter if Eagles fans would have done it or not that doesn't make it any less stupid and pathetic.
