No more gambling on players with issues in the first three rounds.
Tim Williams would be less of a gamble than Jaylon Smith or Randy Gregory, IMO.

The teams can get info that we the fans don't have, but if his primary issue is the one arrest for the unlicensed gun with weed in the car, then I'm not too worried. If he really failed multiple drug tests, that a different story, but at this point we don't know if that really happened. Even if a player failed a test, I would give consideration to when it happened. If he has passed all the tests for the past year or two, then that's much different than Randy Gregory failing the test at the combine.

1. Cleveland - Myles Garrett DE Texas A&M
2. San Francisco - Deshaun Watson QB Clemson
3. Chicago - Jonathan Allen DE Alabama
4. Jacksonville - Jamal Adams S LSU
5. Tennessee (L.A. Rams) - Corey Davis WR Western Michigan
6. N.Y. Jets - Marshon Lattimore CB Ohio St.
7. L.A. Chargers - Malik Hooker S Ohio St.
8. Carolina - Leonard Fournette RB LSU
9. Cincinnati Bengals - Solomon Thomas DE Stanford
10. Buffalo - Mike Williams WR Clemson
11. New Orleans - Taco Charlton DE Michigan
12. Cleveland (Philadelphia) - Mitch Trubisky QB North Carolina
13. Arizona - Reuben Foster ILB Alabama
14. Philadelphia - Teez Tabor CB Florida
15. Indianapolis - Dalvin Cook RB Florida St.
16. Baltimore - Malik McDowell DT Michigan St.
17. Washington - Jabrill Peppers S Michigan
18. Tennessee - Sidney Jones CB Washington
19. Tampa Bay - O.J. Howard TE Alabama
20. Denver - Ryan Ramczyk T Wisconsin
21. Detroit - Derek Barnett DE Tennessee
22. Miami - David Njoku TE Miami
23. N.Y. Giants - Takkarist McKinley DE UCLA
24. Oakland - Jarrad Davis LB Florida
25. Houston - Garett Bolles T Utah
26. Seattle - Cam Robinson T Alabama
27. Kansas City - Tre'Davious White CB LSU

28. Dallas - Tim Williams OLB Alabama
Williams' 2015 tape was better than his 2016 tape. He also added a misdemeanor gun charge to his record. The Cowboys have shown they're not afraid to take chances on talented prospects with character baggage. And make no mistake: Williams is talented, with 19.5 sacks the past two seasons. He shows excellent first-step quickness and explosive power.

29. Green Bay - Alvin Kamara RB Tennessee
30. Pittsburgh - Charles Harris OLB Missouri
31. Atlanta - Quincy Wilson CB Florida
32. New England - Haasan Reddick LB Temple
Barnett at #21 is probably the best value.

The guy at Walter Football claims Williams has issues other than just one arrest. No way I'd risk it on him. He's a talented player, but a tremendous risk. We can't spend another high pick on yet another pothead.

Read other things on Twitter that it is a bad, like worse than Gregory bad. Not just weed but guns etc.

He also had his signing offer yanked back from LSU because they had issues with his grades and behavior.

Williams shouldn't be an option at all. If it's not Harris or Taco we'd be foolish to touch a DE. Takk is a 3-4 guy to me

Ok, I'm just curious about all the hate for DeMarcus Walker? He's improved on his production every year and substantially so.

Sacks and TFL's mean nothing in the ACC now or what? The Clemson Tigers ARE the current Champions correct?

He's got 126 tackles, 26.5 sacks and 37 TFL's in the past 26 games at Florida St, but all that college production doesn't mean **** apparently at least not in Walkers case.

Hate to be in his shoes looking at these mocks and probably thinking "what more do I have to ******* do man...damn!"

I like him.the problem (with fans) is that they dont know he is :Is he a Michael Bennett type player or a AAron Donald Lite?.I honestly dont know if he can successful at LDE but we as fans want a quick player who can play RDE for us because we have a gaping hole at the position. If the Scouts think he is worth it at 28 then i wont be mad at all.

I've heard this, too, but not seen it verified. It would have to be bad for LSU to take a pass.

I'd only take a chance on Williams if he slips all the way down to the 4th round or later, but with the need of so many teams being pass rusher I doubt that happens

I like him alot. I dont think he is an NFL RDE, but he will produce in the NFL and at 28, with our line, I would welcome the pick even if he isnt gonna line up at RDE

If Barnett made it all the way down to 21 and we didn't trade up to get him, I'd be pretty upset.
I have a feeling Barnett might be around.

He is very polarizing. Very unusual to see a player that productive get his game picked apart so much so early.

Usually, those kind of things push prospects down. It scares away inexperienced GMs and the seasoned GMs just wait.

I love the draft season.

I've said this before, I honestly don't care where the sack comes from on the DL. It can come from any of the four positions and I'm fine with that, as long as we get the sacks. Don't care if our LDE turns out to be better than our RDE either. Let's just say for example, Tapper winds up with 10 sacks playing RDE and Walker gets 15 sacks playing LDE. Should we move Tapper out and move Walker to RDE in 2018, because he might get EVEN MORE sacks at RDE? Hell noooo...just be happy and let Tapper and Walker do their thing!

Because drafting based on college production isn't a good way to draft at all. Not a whole lot about Walker's skill set that says he will be a very successful edge rusher in the NFL. Not to say he still can't be a solid LDE, but what are you seeing about him that says he will be able to get a decent amount of sacks at the NFL level besides his stats? Personally I'd be more interested in him as a Henry Melton type 3 tech.

I like him but I think height and arm length will push him down draft boards. Maybe he'll put up really good workout numbers, but based on height and length he will struggle. Outside of Elvis Dummervill I can't think of a DE as short as him being successful

Isn't Walker about 6-2? There have been NFL pass rushers at 6-2 and under.
Dwight Freeney 6'1"
Robert Mathis 6'2"
Dumerville 5'11"

Only 1/2" over 6-2: Von Miller 6'2-1/2
