Randy Gregory signed with Denver, and Dante Fowler isn't going to solve the Cowboys' lack of pass rush depth. Dallas can, of course, slide Micah Parsons back into the edge-rushing role he had last season when he totaled 13 sacks; and while I personally think Parsons can do even more for the Cowboys in his more traditional role at inside linebacker, the team needs more pass rushing no matter what. Karlaftis has an explosive first step and the power to bull rush linemen.

I was against Karlaftis earlier but the more I dig into him, I could be OK with the pick. Sure, I like other guys better but he wouldnt be the worst first round pick they could make. It would be tough to pass on Linderbaum with that first pick.

I'm thinking Greg Ellis when I read George Karlaftis's profile. Great locker room, hard-working player who may never be elite but a damn good starter who consistently gets you 10-12 sacks a year.

Two things to consider.

I believe the Cowboys have either Met with both of those guys and/or will have them in for visits.

Also remember Jerry said Oline unless someone like CeeDee or Micah falls to them.
Now I don't know what players at WR that he thinks is like CeeDee or at LB/DE that is like Micah that they would consider.

Is Karlaftis on the 30 visit list, if no I wouldn't think Quinn has any interest. With him, Green and Johnson (and Linderbaum) all available still i'm thinking we'd trade down (unless one love one of them).

Just don’t see the athletic traits of a true RDE there. Love his work ethic and he seems like a solid player— but no matter how many 3 star pass rushers you add yo the roster— we still lack the impact a true 4 or 5 star rusher would bring us.

Would rather see us address OL and fix the running game as I think w/o it— Dak has zero chance to be effective.

If OTC is right, no real reason to doubt them, then the D-Law extension makes him a "lock" on the team through the 2023 season. The 2024 offseason is when they can have some cap savings if they cut him pre-June 1st.
I figure with how they rotate guys in and out 1-2 years would be more than enough time for a DE like Greek Karl to develop and improve his craft while not being thrown to the wolves.

I don't see him as a RDE either but long term at LDE I think he could be someone that could be counted on. Not a Bosa level disrupter, but at a level of pre injury Almost Anthony and Greg Ellis post injury. Not like D-Law is a core guy much longer. And I think Parsons subbing in at RDE would be ideal.

At #24, we would need a TJ Watt type of luck to fall to us for a 5 star pass rusher. If only we had a crystal ball on who that could be and which year lol.

Overview
With alluring athleticism and an impressive skill set, Raimann is just scratching the surface of his potential. His initial transition from tight end to left tackle occurred in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, making his rapid transformation fairly remarkable. He is a much better technician than he should be at this stage, but his approach is also mechanical and he could struggle against sophisticated edge defenders until he learns to diversify his pass sets and hand usage. Raimann's instincts and fundamentals at the position are still in a developmental phase so bumps in the road are expected, but his best football is ahead of him and he should become a long-time starter at left tackle.
