Before yesterdays game these people were calling Dallas the worst team in the NFL.

Today these same guys are praising the job Marinelli is doing. Praising the players in the hustle they're giving the fans.

Even Stephen A Smith on first take "the accident waiting to happen that is the Dallas Cowboys, you dont see that with these Cowboys".

What a turn in opinions in a 24 hr period. You know that had to hut Stephen a Smith to say that about the team he hates.

Media is good about setting a team up to knock them back down. Cowboys players hopefully do not eat the cheese. Keep working and keep that chip on your shoulder.

Or they could be impressed with the change in the mentality and effort of the team?

They may be but that same group will rake you over the coals in a heartbeat. Cowboy players right now need to be pumped about how they have started but they also need to be smart enough to know much work is needed. Don't fall in love with your own press clippings it will come back to bite you.

Oh please (to them). Talk to the hand ... they just waiting for the next freak train to come along for them to jump on and ride.

Before yesterday the Seahawks could do no wrong and this morning NFL.com called them legion of Doom

The media is fickle.

Last week Goose Gosling claimed the Titans had "their act together" and the Cowboys did not. It will be interesting (not really) to read what he has to say this week.

I think you make way too much about Smith, as do so many on this board. He is loud and that rubs some the wrong way. But he is consistent and tends to have a viewpoint based in sound logic most of the time. He rails on Dallas because they deserve to be railed on. Or had no one noticed the abysmal results over the last decade and more?

I also think the press is genuflecting and will so again when Dallas beats the Rams. Although, if Romo cannot play better than he has, that is no guarantee.

But after that, you will see this team again be a bottom dweller in the eyes of the fickle press.

This schedule, and this quarterback and his physical struggles suggests Dallas will be a one trick pony in Murray. Tony should have eaten the Titans alive.

And where is the play action and the screen?

I doubt that the players are listening much. They didnt seem to be listening when they called this team trash. Why start now. But as a fan its refreshing to see these media people eat their own words.

At times I wish some of these big ol' OL & DL, from any team, would go into the studio's and cut the cheese, laugh and walk out....LOL

I don't know about that players seem to know for months they have been called the worst defense in the NFL, Claiborne knows he has been called a bust. There is no way to avoid the media and while players will claim they don't read it or hear it there is no way around it. Unless you live in a cave

Play action only works if defense is buying the run, Titans with Ray Horton running the defense is coming no matter what so play action was not going to slow anyone down. Dallas did play action a few times resulting in sacks. In the end because they refused to back off the rush Dallas put big rushing numbers on them
