Media changing its tune

Did you expect them to say how great we were last week when we got embarrassed at home?

I've heard the Niners get bashed a lot today after they got praised last week. Was that change media tone supposed to be exclusive to us?

Before yesterdays game these people were calling Dallas the worst team in the NFL.

Today these same guys are praising the job Marinelli is doing. Praising the players in the hustle they're giving the fans.

Even Stephen A Smith on first take "the accident waiting to happen that is the Dallas Cowboys, you dont see that with these Cowboys".

What a turn in opinions in a 24 hr period. You know that had to hut Stephen a Smith to say that about the team he hates.

There's those in the media who live in the moment just like a lot of FANS. If the Cowboys stink next week they'll be back near the bottom of power rankings and those who thought they weren't so bad after the win over Tenn will be back tearing them down again. It takes about 4-5 games for a team to establish their identity. After 2 games the Cowboys look like the same up and down team we've been seeing but the defense has looked a little better than expected and the running game has improved at least so far.

Just points out how absurd it was to rank a team that went 8-8 three times in a row down in the bottom five teams in football.

Like many involved in sports talk, social media directs the voiced opinion of reps like Stephen A. Smith. His opinion will change if-and-when he detects greater anti-Cowboy sentiment being expressed on Twitter, etc.

Off-topic, but I would argue that FBS college rankings are wacky along with the new 4-team championship playoff. In my opinion, FBS should have the same playoff format that all other college football divisions (and other college sports) have always had. The bowl money is out of this world though, so that'll never happen.
