I've been working with my dog catching frisbee too, a basset hound, ... not working out too good.

Just kidding, I have a black and silver schnauzer, 10 yrs old, ... smart dog.

I swear he knows English, we have to spell in front of him.

If he hears "treat", or "biscuit", you aren't going to relax until he gets one.

Dogs are so cool.

I love me some dogs. :D

Oh man, I know what you mean.

We can't say "Treat", "Bone", "Snack", "ride", or "Bye bye" in front of them. And if I start out a sentence with "You wanna..." they sit there looking at me waiting for me to finish the sentence with ".. Go bye bye?"

Great dogs.

Great dogs.
That's great Rack !!

I get a lump in my throat and have to blink my eyes pretty fast when I read or hear dog stories, ... dogs are the most loyal, appreciative, forgiving beings.

They know unconditional love.

...doesn't much care for the bath... :)

Cute dog! Got myself a Golden Retriever puppy and like a moron let her sleep on the bed, she's 80 lbs and if I'm lucky I'm allowed half my pillow and enough blanket to cover myself at night.

Just some advice if you treasure your side of the bed, train the dog to sleep on the floor!

It would be good advice if I didnt already have a 60 pound bed-thief, myself. And I don't mean an undersized girlfriend. :(

Here's mine as a puppy. Beagles are about as cute as they come.

this is the Peppino (aka puppy)

http://i20.***BLOCKED***/albums/b231/XeKira/h_pepino.jpg

You will notice he is in a cage (in the dog pound) with his sister (she was given away) and was on death row... (he was in this picture around 2-3 years old) not because he had done anything wrong.... sadly it was because he was abused... he had a great fear of man and has suffered tremendously because of them... (broken/missing teeth, chopped off tail, shotgun pellets under the skin and water in his lungs)...He was rescued by a German tourist that went to Spain and found him and brought back to Germany where he was giving over to the Teirheim (animal home/dog pound)...He was there for about a year and no one wanted him because of his fear of man and his missing parts...

Well now comes my part in this so far sad story... As many of you know I am a single dad and my oldest son was very intraverted...so I decided to help bring him out of his shell and to teach them some responsibility I would get a dog...and we got the Peppino...it is now around 3 years later and you couldn't tell Peppino ever had a problem with man before and also my son is much more outgoing...Oh Peppino still has the physical scars but he is such a joy and a blessing...

Alot of rescue dogs turn out to be wonderful companions. He's a good looking dog.
