Exactly right. I much rather prefer Kraft in day two, or any other option on day 2 or 3
Kraft is apart of that top 6 group who could be gone at 58, Dane has him at 50 on his big board, think LaPorta at 66.

It would be surprising. I knew that he was getting hot but I figured that meant round 2.

Who knows? All I know is that he is a really good player that has been flying under the radar. He wouldn’t be the first guy to rise up to the first round right before the draft.

It hasn’t been done yet though.
I could be LaPorta going before Musgrave and/or Washington.

I like him better then both Mustgrave/Washington and be comes from a NFL factory, but still would be disappointed in the pick. At 58, fine or even with a trade up. Just think there will be better players at 26.

Yeah, I like him more than the other TE’s except Kincaid. He is more like Kincaid than the others. His hands aren’t as reliable as Kincaid’s though.

The reports about TEs are all coming from the same source and then being repeated by other media people.

Jane Slater, Broaddus, Eatman, etc...
Broaddus and Eatman are usually pretty spot on day of. If they are leaning that way there is a reason.

He actually produced on the college level. I hate drafting players strictly on physical traits like you would be doing with Mustgrave/Washington. They are more of a projection and hope to develop. Kincaid is my favorite, but do like Mayer as well. However, I think LaPorta does have a good chance to be good.

Come on now.
At #26, this guy is not the BPA.

exactly.i cant imagine any Scenario where he is BPA at 26.even going from the list of guys they have met there is bound to be someone who is BPa.

With the 26th Pick in the 2023 NFL Draft the DALLAS COWBOYS select DALTON KIN.....ah sorry SAM LA PORTA , Iowa University

So I watched this. And when I got done, I had to chuckle at all those who lamented Mayer and his lack of speed.

Nothing in this highlight reel made me think this guy was on another level athletically. Oh I get the testing numbers but sometimes, that stuff doesn't show up in how they play. LaPorta doesn't look any more athletic than Mayer.

So if you want a guy who plays fast at TE, then take Kincaid. Or take a massive gamble on Washington. If not, then take a flier on later guys like Kuntz or Kraft or even later like the kid from Cincy. But LaPorta in the first? He looks like a smaller Mayer out there.

Taco, LVE, Trysten Hill, Kelvin Joseph, Tyler Smith

To name a few recent who were not BPA. They stick to what they want and get who they prefer.

Outside of Lamb falling to them and trading for Claiborne they’ve been pretty straight forward where they are going

I like the player a lot… I just would rather use a 2nd for him.
Exactly my thinking. I'm guessing the Boys got word someone is interested prior to their pick in 2.

Could be the weak WR class is going to take the top TEs off the board earlier, and they seem dead set on addressing the position and are forced to take the best one available Guessing to help Dak as much as possible

Ehhhh.
I still get the feeling that they have several people above him. Robinson, Wright, both of the other TEs, probably even Mcdonald. I think it's unlikely that he is the pick at 26.
