In all seriousness though, you know you have gone off on someone when you run out of breath several times throughout the rant

You really have to wonder how many of these types of confrontations has occurred between these two.
Not to excuse Mel Gibson's behavior but anybody get the feeling that she did something to break his heart and thus you get such a venom filled rant?

Forensic Experts Say Mel Gibson's Rants May Have Been Edited and Pieced Together

Every day this week has come with a new, expletive-laced rant from Mel Gibson.
In the latest recording released by RadarOnline, he berates ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, the mother of their 8-month-old child, for not giving him oral sex and screams that he'll burn their house down.
"You're dishonest and you're f **ked up!," he growled. "So you stay the f **k away from me! Take care of your f **king son and I better have my daughter!"
But is it possible his rants aren't qutie what they seem?
Grigorieva denied she released the tapes. Now some question their integrity. Forensic audio and video experts examined the recordings for HollywoodLife.com and believe someone tampered with them, editing the audio, removing parts of conversation and piecing together phrases to make the recordings sound real.
"One of the things that you have to know is that nobody at this point can authenticate it's Mel's voice -- not 100 percent," Bonnie Fuller, editor of HollywoodLife.com, said on "Good Morning America" today. "There are words that are edited out, there are spaces, there are gaps."
"I believe these are professionally done. I think she had help," said forensic audio expert Arlo West. "She clearly was speaking into what we call a large diaphragm microphone. Her voice is very well engineered. She sounds great."
Now, copies of the recordings are in the hands of detectives investigating whether Gibson abused Grigorieva, according to the Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesperson Steve Whitmore. He told The Associated Press that detectives are working to authenticate the recordings for a possible criminal case.
Representatives for Gibson have yet to comment on the tapes. But in the court of public opinion, they've done their damage. It's unlikely Gibson will be able to win custody of 8-month-old Lucia in their wake.
"As a lawyer, if Mr. Gibson were my client, I would tell him to back off from the custody fight right now," said Debra Opri, a family law attorney based in California. "Don't even fight it, because that judge can take hold of your life and say, 'You're going to rehab, you're going to get anger management treatment, you're going to do all these things because the child's life is in danger.' He should really remove himself from the arena and say she can have 100 percent custody."

Different rules apply in the criminal sphere. Opri speculated that because of the media glare on the case, police will press domestic violence charges against Gibson. But because California is a two-party state -- the law requires that both parties consent to the recording of a conversation -- it's unlikely Grigorieva's recorded phone calls will appear in court.
"In a criminal investigation, there is no way those tapes are ever going to get into evidence," she said.

If you listen to those tapes, which I have no interest in doing, but the part I did hear certainly sounded as if it was all set up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Gibson fan by any stretch and could care less if he gets Tiger Woods'd or not but it was pretty easy, IMO, to see that he was completely manipulated. If authentic, one of those people were genuinely upset or hurt over the whole thing and one was cold as ice. No emotion at all, which is not how it works if you are getting divorced. Anybody who has been down that road knows that that is not how it works. Also, the quality of the recordings is very interesting. The quality of her voice is studio good. The quality of his is like Jim Rockford's old message machine. Something's not right there.
On the way into work this morning, it was reported that the physical evidence didn't match the claim that she had been beaten. Apparently, there was damage to her teeth but it was to the caps only. Not the actual teeth. Also, there was no physical evidence to support her claim that the damage was caused by a blunt instrument or being struck. No bruises that would be consistent with being struck in such a way as to cause the damage to the teeth. Also, the report said that there may be past instances of blackmail with her. I don't know, it's all BS to me but I did hear that reported this morning.

If Gibson really said all of that in that context, then he needs serious help.
I've heard and read that this was a HUGE setup and when you listen to it, you can tell this was preplanned. There may even be some audio data manipualtion. In any case, it's very disturbing. He somes like a rving lunatic! I know things get really crazy in custody battles. The ex-wife had a pretty bad history too...lest we forget. But if he actully punched her, that is SO inexcusable. The man has issues.
He has been persona non grata for many years in Hollywood...and is for sure NOT a Hollywood insider. The big wheels locked him out and would not even fund "The Passion" due to religious believes and an already built up blackball against him. When it made 100s of million it dug him in a hole further....they were pissed. His drunken rant when he got pulled over by Beverly Hills cops dug him even deeper...espcially the anti-Semitic comment.

In the court of public opinion, it probably doesn't matter if his girlfriend set him up, which she probably did. He all but admitted he beat his girlfriend and used all sorts of nasty racial slurs.
It's really ashamed as I really enjoy Mel Gibson's movies and actually thought "Edge of Darkness" was good. Oddly enough, the aforementioned movie title seems to do a very good job of describing Mel Gibson's state of mind at the moment.
