...but Myers' talent isn't a secret anymore....and he was just named to the Pro Bowl as well. Seems to me Houston won't let him go.....again: do they have any othe free agents that would preclude them from signing this guy and/or tagging him? I don't know, just asking: heres an article on him:

Mario Williams is the biggest free agent they have but he's been hurt the last several years so I don't know if he's their top priority.

Kind of hard to criticize the guy's athletic ability as an NFL G considering he played T too in college.

I would love to have Decastro if we do miss on him there are some really good Guards in this draft and of course FA is an option. I guess my main concern is heading into camp did this team improve the interior line?

This is why I like our situation this year.
I'd like us to grab DeCastro (assuming we grade him that high) but if we go in another direction (say a great DB falls to us) then we could nicely upgrade two positions in two rounds.

This all assumes that we pick the right players--which is a mistake so many seem to forget is not remotely a given.

What's everyone's thoughts on C Chris Myers in free agency, DeCastro in the draft then one of our existing players playing the other guard spot?

myers is too small; he wears down at the end of the year. At 285 lbs that is not surprising

I think he will if Saban endorses him. Garrett worked with Saban when he was coaching the Dolphins I think. Even if Garret doesn't I think Jerry would.

We won't really know how these guys will grade out until the Combine but don't sell Glenn short. He may grade out better then DeCastro.

I would like to see the Cowboys take a big, top rated CB or an imposing NT at 1 and 2 and them come back with a guy like Silatolu in the 3rd but at the end of the day, you gotta take the players that fall to you.

I think we are gonna see a few corners work there way into the mix after the combine. It's too high for a guard IMO.

I don't see any way we are going to lay out FA money for Nicks and draft DeCastro. I just don't get that vibe from what I've heard and read.

There is the possibility that Corners and Whitney, Ingram and Coples are gone but there is also the possibility that at least one is still there. There is the possibility that DeCastro is gone as well.

I agree. I do think we target Nicks if he hits the open market.

Just saying at this point, don't see a huge upgrade in 3-4 OLB from Spencer so that isn't worth it at 14 IMO.

Combine and workouts will change a lot so this is just interesting talk.
