Video has been blocked. Someone may wish to summarize.

Kiper initially gave a C now an A-.
Even though Dak and Zeke were drafted, he had questions about Jaylon (and may be Tapper).
Talked about other teams (did not care).
Stephen A did not even say much about Cowboys and went straight into some other team.
I think they said nice things about risen's faborite QB.

90% of his grades are Bs and Cs. The occasional As and Ds are always misses. Anyone of us could do his job and everyone knows it.

A-? That's a tough curve. Even if neither Smith nor Tapper ever play a down that draft is an A. Franchise QB, all pro RB, maybe our most consistently disruptive DL, and starting level CB?

If this wasn't an A+ draft, I need someone to show me what one looks like.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it produced 3.5 starters in year one with Zeke, Dak, Collins and Brown. Next year it looks more like 5 starters by adding Jaylon and Tapper (strong rotation player).

Not to mention Zeke and Dak were named to the probowl.

An A-...lol

Could you imagine if Jaylon and Tapper become productive starters. It might just be the best draft of all-time if that happened.

i have high expectations for jaylon but less for tapper.
even if neither makes it, this would be one of the best drafts ever.

Here are the 4 HOF in Pittsburgh's 1974 draft
BTW, this came from an article entitled: The Great Draft Class in NFL History
*Lynn Swann, wide receiver, USC, first round, 21st overall.
*Jack Lambert, linebacker, Kent State, second round, 46th overall.
*John Stallworth, wide receiver, Alabama A&M, fourth round, 82nd overall.
*Mike Webster, center, Wisconsin, fifth round, 125th overall.

Right NOW, any one here would take any 2 players from that draft over Dak (in the 4th in addition)?
I would not.
3 of them, I would think about it but the answer is still no.
Considering that Stallworth and Swann are the two most overrated WRs in the history of the game, I'd still take our draft.

Even though Jaylon Smith and Tapper was drafted last year I think of them as bonus players in this year's draft.

I might be in the minority but I am very high on Tapper. As long as there are no setbacks I think he will surprise a lot of people and depending on our first 2 picks might be our starting de opposite Lawrence

I have to give Kiper respect for a regrade because the wider the difference between it and the original grade, the more he is admitting his degree of error.

I think the suggestion here is Kiper is tentative in giving the Cowboys an A+ because it is still kind of an "I" for Incomplete until we see what Jatlon and Tapper can or can't do. However, the potential would be there tp be the best ever.

Suppose Jaylon or/and Tapper is a beast? What if Collins breaks out? What if Geathers ends up being a genius pick? What degree of improvement would make Brown the next Antoine Bethea or Cortland Finnegan, a low rounder that becomes a reliable starter?

Hopefully, after next season the 2016 draft is re-re-graded and the Cowboys get an A+++.

Any draft that you find a franchise QB is an automatic A.

Anything on top of that is bonus.
Finding Pro Bowl RB already make this A+.

I dare any fan from any other team to disagree.

"Who the hell is Mel Kiper?'.

_Bill Tobin

Said in 1994. By 1997, he was out as GM. Last heard from as a Bengals' scout. These days you might find his picture on the side of a milk carton......

Love him or hate him, 23 years later, Kiper is still relevant. You'll notice I did not say "accurate"; I said relevant.
