Fair point, & I more or less agree.

However, unless the off-the-field issues pertain to failed drug testing and/or actual legal convictions, then the reward of drafting a secondary playmaker should trump the risk.

He skipped a drug test because he knew he would fail and when UF suspended him, he tweeted out that the UF Athletic Department "sucks".

He's a moron.

If Barnett slides down to #22 (Miami), I hope Steven calls Miami and works a trade up. Would absolutely hate to see another very good DL for NYG torment us for years to come.
That crossed my mind too. Easier said than done, but I'd think they'd be on the phones by then.

I take it you missed the Sr Bowl practices and game..
Of course not. And I somewhat know Zay and his dad personally...you could not find a bigger fan.

Come draft day, I guess never say never.

If Tim Williams were to drop to 1/28....and we passed...I think that would be a mistake.

TW has just got too much talent. This isn't Courtney Upshaw.

Don't see Dalvin Cook falling that low either....
No... Zach Cunningham LB Vanderbilt or Raekwon McMillan MLB Ohio St in the 1st...Wow:omg:

Don't see that happening....And Jarred Davis as his 2nd top rated ILBer:laugh:

Nice player...but not the 13th best player in the draft.

If Tim Williams, Jabrill Peppers and John Ross are available at pick 28 I will be thrilled.

I haven't seen anyone with McMillan in the first round. Or Cunningham, really.

pass on Jalen ""I'm me, I'm going to be honest. What you see is what you get. Sometimes (it gets me in trouble). If you ain't being you ... if you ain't living for nothing, you'll die for anything. That's how I see it." Tabor

talented but too much cb talent in this draft to take someone that is so immature unless he is head and shoulders above the other cbs left, which he won't be at pick 28.
Tabor had 9 career interceptions at Florida, and is pure cover corner.
There are no playmakers in the Dallas secondary, outside of Jeff Heath (age and health issues has slowed down Scandrick).

Don't get cute, Tabor's ball skills would be an asset in the Dallas D.

I would not rule out a player just based on some comment some other character questions without doing a background check and interview with the player.

We've seen many guys with "interesting" personalities succeed while other character issue players did indeed fail or just didn't quite live up to their potential. The best CBs often seem to have difficult personalities.

Scandrick has a difficult personality, but his personality seems to help drive him more than hold him back.

From a distance, Michael Irvin and Dez seemed to have similar personalities, but in reality they are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Irvin was the undisputed team leader on 3 Super Bowl teams while Dez has never reached his true potential due to his mental makeup.

Randy Gregory has failed, but Honey Badger, Janoris Jenkins and other have succeeded.

He has a thin frame and average athleticism.

He is a Senior and his Dad was an NFL player so I would expect him to be ahead of a lot of other players mentally and in terms of developed skills.

I like the player, but a good Senior Bowl performance don't not automatically make a player a 1st round pick.

Cooper Kupp was outstanding at the Senior Bowl but is not being projected as a 1st round pick.

Tim Williams weighs 235, that would give me pause without the off field troubles.

gotta laugh at 10. Buffalo - Deshaun Watson QB Clemson

AND Philly 14. Philadelphia - Mike Williams WR Clemson - I think both will be a bust
