Membou: a full breakdown

Teams love Donovan Jackson too. Dudes clean. Nasty mean player. Moving up draft boards . Some think he might be the best olineman. I think we are foolish to pass up one of these top lineman. We need one to solidify our line.

Have a cookie and calm down. Over what? Lol. I just want my best 5 on the field in the correct position. I could care less about where it ends up being. It's just a friendly debate. Let's see who lines up where after the draft, and then camp. Then we can revisit this.
Lol,

He’s 100% correct!

Do we know that yet? Do we know that anyone is absolutely right yet? There are no absolutes. In this league it's NOT FOR LONG. Let the cake bake.
Moving a guard with all pro potential from one position, to have to learn another position 4 years into their career makes zero sense, nor serves any logical purposeful function!
Drafting a guy to develop at center, Spend an entire season developing at that position and exceed expectations for a rookie playing the position for the first time, then move them makes zero sense, nor serves any logical purposeful function!

Membou projects to guard in this league. Assuming they draft a guard at 12 which would be a bit mind boggling… then you do exactly what you did with the pick Martin… insert him at right guard!
You don’t go and play musical chairs with your offensive line, moving people around who don’t need moving!

That stint at LT this season did wonders for his draft stock. Not that teams are projecting Jackson to tackle, but he proved that he's got good enough feet to handle DE speed, and everyone knew that he had blow-the-doors-off power. If you're a DT, how are you going to beat him inside?

I saw a comp for him today on Thor Nystrom's blog to Tyler Smith, and I can see that. I think Jackson could go late round 1.

What I like about drafting this kid are the options he brings at a high level
* Martin replacement at RG
* Steele replacement at RT
* Guyton's replacement at LT if we have to move him to RT

We could have
Membou, Smith, Beebe, Hoffman, Guyton.....
I like the prospect, but very hard seeing a player like this falling.

Like I stated, I could care less. Just offering up food for thought and it's realistic. We have no idea how camp battles will go. Plus let's wait and see . Guyton is a good kid but I feel he's not a LT. In college he was largely a RT. A good one. Why not try him there or at very least see if he can beat out Steele? Where's the harm in that? I just want my best 5 on the field. To me membo is a plug and play guard or tackle.
new O line coach dude. He is going to wait and watch and evaluate.

and also you are forgetting Jethro

he who never wants to admit a mistake.

He drafted Guyton for LT and Beebe for Center and he will not admit he is wrong until it is really obvious.

Tyler Smith is a ALL PRO GUARD> think on that. You put your players in the position they play best. I think he can be a top ten LT; but that is all. AND NOT ASSURED OF THAT EITHER. He can be a top 5 guard. He could actually make the HOF as guard thought it might be tough. He will NEVER MAKE IT AS A LT.

Membou is the only OL I would take at 12. I think he is the closest thing to a sure thing in the NFL. He can play RG in 2025 and move to RT next year if they choose to release Steele.

Yep, I think Jackson will end up going late first. Super clean eval.
