In honor of all those that have given their life so that we may be free, don't forget to consider their sacrifice this Memorial Day weekend. Freedom is not free.
It's so funny. When I came to this thread, this song was playing on my yt playlist. I think it is very fitting.
I did not lose anyone in any wars, but I come from a military family. I have had family members in WWI, WWII, the Korean Conflict, Vietnam, and the Gulf War. I can tell you though, that even though they left the war and got to come home, the war never left them. I have also, as a nurse, taken care of many WWII veterans, one a POW for several years at a Japanese camp. And they were the most honorable, yet tough men you could ever meet. Even though some had slipped into the abyss of Alzheimer's, and couldn't even remember their own children's names, they never forgot what they went through for our country and the people of other countries they fought for. I hope we don't either.
Just a little song to remember to never forget not only those that have been lost to us in war, but also to those who we haven't lost, but still have, because they cannot forget......Never Forget. God Bless. Salute. {RIP Eyedea}
