no evidence? He got into a fight in the locker room with a guy, that's not distracting? He threw the "Team Leader" under the bus every chance he got, there were players on the team that still wanted him back on the team after all of this instead of siding with the leader of the team. If those aren't considerred distractions then sorry sir I am wrong with every comment I made.

I will defend Owens on the "fight". There's been plenty of well placed conjecture that Hugh Douglas, a person who was on the payroll as some sort of consultant but had no official coaching title, instigated the fracas at the behest of the Eagles organization in order to sit Owens without paying him.

Mr.Knite you make valid points I asume you're a COWBOY fan. My question to you is with all that has been said about T.O. here. Do you cheer when he makes a catch, first down,or touchdown.

I'm not a Hoge fan but it's just one mans opinion. Consider the source and move on. Or hit the mute like I always do. :D

I've been a Cowboys fan my whole life, I even lived about 10 minutes outside DC when I was younger, when the Commanders won the superbowl, yet I've stay loyal to my boys.

Also I'll root for owens as long as he's a Cowboy, yes. Do I agree with everything he does or has done in the past? of course not. I never liked Bledsoe before he was Cowboy but once he put the star on his helmet I supported him. I've defended owens to a lot of people who said he was already starting to tear the team apart after the accidentle overdose, however I have to also look at things from an unbiased perspective also and I honestly believe he played his part in the Eagles saga last year.

I agree with you but has he shown any of that so far this year. I have'nt seen it Parcells even said that the media has blown up things that happened this year. I guess the point I was trying to make is how what he's done in the past reflects on what he's done so far. the only thing he's done is drop some balls. no arrest no steroids no domestic violence no dui's. we talking about what he did with the eagles last year. I don't think he's even trashed talked to the media.

If we're only talking this year? Then yes I agree, there have been a lot of other players do worse things and they haven't got near the attention Owens has. Heck I don't think Haynesworth's "most classless act ever" got as much attention as either Owen's hamstring or his accidental overdose. Nobody likes to point out that he took Sam Hurd under his wing and helped him make this team when making an arguement. That sure sounds like somebody who only cares about himself, does it not?

They're just looking for reasons to throw Owens under the bus, and I think he's atleast been acting like a classy player so far. Heck it may just be an act I don't know, but atleast he's putting effort into it.

No problem, it's nice to get into an open discussen with fellow fans sometimes, espcially if at the end we can all agree on the fact we love to see the Cowboys win. :D

Also I've noticed you only have 23 posts, welcome to the board. I'm pretty new here too, I joined in March but didn't start posting till about a month ago, it's a great place to talk Cowboys.

I think Hoge is stealing Theisman's stchick, figuring that being controversial will further his career.
