It depends. By whose rules are we playing? The Packers are a team built to dominate in the modern, pass-happy era in which defensive backs can scarcely breathe on a receiver without drawing a flag.

If we're playing by pre-2000 rules, the Packers get throttled, in my opinion.

He just says that stuff to get a rise out of everyone. Those other dynasties that he mentioned would crush the Packers of 2011. Because those other dynasties had great DEFENSES!! They did not have to win shootouts.

Yesterday when SD gave the ball back to Packers with 2 minutes and change left in the game, The 90's Cowboys would have run the clock out on the Chargers and ended the game right there and then. Same with the Pats and Niners.

The Packers are the best team right now in the NFL. But how good is that defense really?? They will come to a game where the offense is going to get stopped or slowed down and then that defense is going to have to stop someone. We'll see just how good they really are.

i think my Dad put it best a couple weeks ago, i went over to my parents house on a Sunday night and he was talking about some guy on ESPN who was badmouthing a ton of teams and players, and it was Hoge..

my dad said "i was listening to this guy and thought the whole time, 'i've never even heard of this guy, who is this?"....i told him he was a running back once and he said, "well he must not have been any good"...
