Merriman suspended

One of the posts from the Chargers board, said there had been a rumor that he was juicing a few weeks ago.

Other posters were wondering why he hadn't had the same impact as he did earlier in the season.

If this guy was taking roids and that's why he was ahead of Ware at this point, I would have to say he is a #@#%#!@#$ and that is the reason he is ahead of him regarding passrushing....Therefore you cant take into account anything he has done because he's right where Barry Bonds is in my book...he's out...done and finished...ok let me have it.

Julius Peppers got suspended for roiding a couple of years ago. Would you all not take him on this team?

Agent Marvin Demoff said the league office told him that Peppers had tested positive for a banned substance in a dietary supplement. A source close to Peppers, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Peppers did not test positive for steroids.
Two independent sources told ESPN.com that Peppers tested positive for either ephedrine or a derivative of the stimulant ephedra. The substance, typically absorbed through supplements, is on the league's list of banned substances. The NFL began testing for it this summer.

Demoff said Peppers would appeal the suspension, meaning he can play in Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.

In a statement released together with one from his agent, Peppers said he couldn't discuss the suspension until there's a ruling on his appeal.

espn is saying he found out about it on Tuesday, but has been appealing the suspension, that to me, explains today

I remember reading there were things about Merriman that really turned us off from him. One of them being the fact that he hired the Postons to represent him.

Or that he beat a teammate to a pulp and put him in the hospital.

Alot of the people on the chargers board are definitely showing the right attitude. They feel cheated and are disgusted by it. They say he will never be the same to them.

Yeah. People are acting like this has never happened before. If it's not blatantly obvious to you why this is big news HERE, of all places, then you need some sort of logic device installed. (With Grey Matter and synapses) If you were one of the ones jocking Merriman, and how dominant he was, just take what's coming to you.

It doesn't matter if he's lost a step or not when he comes back, today my friend, he's lost A WHOLE LOT MORE. I'm just sorry for the 4 or so times I cast my vote for him in the Pro Bowl balloting.
