Something seems to happen with Showalter managed clubs .

Typical Mets season, their hitting is terrible. They have to go all in for Judge. A new catcher would be nice too.

Their new catcher will be the kid in Triple A that is the #1 prospect in baseball. Not sure about Judge. He is going to cost 45-50 million a year. They have to reup DeGrom, Nimmo, Diaz, and probably get another pitcher. Carrasco, Bassit and Waijuan Walker are all free agents so all they really have for next year is Schertzer. Signing all those guys would put the payroll way over 300 million and JUdge on top of that would put in a stratosphere never seen before.

Alvarez doesn’t appear to be ready but he should be the future. DeGrom is all but gone, can’t stay healthy either. Max is old, not sure how much longer he has. They will need a couple SP’s, bullpen help, 3B and an outfielder.

Cohen can afford it, he isn’t the Coupons……back that brinks truck up!

Showalter took the Yankees right up to the edge then Steinbrenner the Jones of baseball canned him . Buck did a good job in Texas took them to respectability neighborhood which is a place the Rangers haven’t been since Bannister a good manager left . He did a good job in impossible Baltimore . No question he can take you right up to the brink …..I could see Boone gone if the Yankees don’t get at least to ALCS .
