Micah and CeeDee Accused of Quitting

Cd was rarely open. He was blanketed all game. Even early on.

Micah is great but he’s starting to show signs of wear and tear. He just didn’t seem to have the same burst and explosiveness as he usually does. Or Trent Williams is just that much of a stud.
Our receivers got bullied, no separation. And Dak throwing up some “hope for the best” passes didn’t help.

I thought the Cowboys all quit after Dak's first interception. That could be the time when Dallas realized Dak could not bring them back from the deficit they had.
They prolly thought “here we go again, this dude gonna throw it away again”. They know you CANT play sloppy ball against THIS 9ers team and win.

Cowboys were down 4 scores halfway through the 3rd quarter by the time Dak threw that deep bomb into double coverage that was intercepted. He took that chance deep throw to Brooks because none of our receivers were getting open all game long.

Nothing wrong with Dak. Our receivers were getting blanketed all game long. Plus, our Oline was getting beat often in pass protection along with at the line of scrimmage. We couldn't even get the running game going whatsoever. Complete and total failure by everyone. Even the playcalling stunk badly.
I wouldn’t say nothing wrong with Dak. Overthrew an open TE to kill our second drive (or was it first), threw that horrible “hope for the best” deep pass that was closer to the db than it ever was our wr, third pick was right to the lb. this wasn’t a good game for him, just like the last 2 times we played sf. Plays bad against pit bull teams.

It wasn't an overthrow. It was high but the ball went right through Schoonmaker's hands. He should have caught it just like last week.

I've seen several tweets (can't post them because not media) and heard some podcasts saying that Micah quit late in the game and CeeDee was lackadaisical from the start. I just think that the flow of the game caused them to lose hope, but does anyone else think they quit or gave up? Jesse Holley said CeeDee's body language indicates something is wrong and it will be a problem down the line. I hope not because we can ill afford any more adversity.
Hate to say it, but I saw a lot of quit out there by a lot of players, not just these two.

There comes a point in a game where both you and your opponent know who the best team is and that pointed was reached fairly early in this game.

Once that happens, players tend to cut their motor back and worry more about just getting through the game without getting injured.

So now the Dak defenders are blaming the routes? I thought Moore only called curls and digs…

As usual, 49ers played a lot of zone. Dak as usual sucked against it. Was slow with the ball and was constantly taking the underneath.

Dak on his INTs STARED HIS WRS down. It had ZERO to do with anybody other than him. It’s the same reason he threw that many picks last year.

Did it occur to you that Micah was tired because of all the consecutive 3-and-outs, and having to run back onto the field, again. TOP in the first half was lop-sided, I'd bet. Terrible play-calling lost us this game. Mike was running when he should be passing, and passing when he could run.

This wasn't a game where you're going to run a whole lot against this defense. You needed to pass, and utilize motions and play-action.
If you make excuses for Micah the other defensive players should get the same leeway.

The 49ers proved that they were the better team yesterday, but 32 points better?! I would never accuse anyone of quitting, but the Cowboys did not look like the team that I expected to see.. They were out played and out schemed on both sides of the ball.
