I agree with your sentiments. Kids today don’t have the character that previous generations did. Patience, integrity, humility, empathy, etc.—they haven’t been taught. It’s the societal erosion that is gradually strangling us. That said, I get his reaction. He’s young. I’m not endorsing it, but I also recognize the phony goodwill and arrogant, self serving snark these so called journalists are showing. Like evil vultures, feeding off the rotting corpse.

It ain't just "kids today." It's dang near half the adults too. But that's why these guys have agents to tell them what they're getting into in the first place.

Here are the rules that govern this I believe:

RULE 12
ARTICLE 3. ILLEGAL BLOCK BY OFFENSIVE PLAYER. It is a foul if an offensive blocker:
(a) Thrusts his hands forward above the frame of an opponent to forcibly contact him on the head, neck, or face; or

Note: Contact in close-line play is not a foul, unless it is direct and forcible, or prolonged.

Penalty: For illegal use of hands by the offense: Loss of 10 yards.

Is that considered close-line play? It was certainly a forcible hit.
It was a shoulder intentionally hitting the face of Parsons - is that a legal chip block? If so, it shouldn't be in my opinion. Whilst a different type of block the hit by Nick Scott on Deebo Samuel in the play offs was sensational and for me that's what it's all about. Clean hit, knocked the player backwards without targeting the head or knees.

Smh Micah needs to log off.

Can’t post it cause it contains NSFW language, but go look at Micah’s Twitter right now to see for yourself.

It’s in response to this play.

He got him cheap. But that is not a penalty. What about the 127 yards the "Lion" let Fournette run over his defense? People forget that Leonard Fournette was the 4th overall pick in the draft and his father was/is a weight trainer. Jacksonville went to the AFC championship game with Fournette and a very good defense that had ex Cowboy Barry Church.

Blame your Dumbo GM because Fournette was a cut by the Jags and the Bucs picked him up FOR FREE. Yes he grew up NOLA breed, NOLA raised and cross the wrong side of the neutral ground you can end up NOLA dead.

Its a block...Its what you do when the other team has a DE basically blowing up your pocket...#11 was actually saying it was just football play and said next time hit me straight up and see how it goes...he was not saying it was ilegal....I cant stand undisputed and it was dumb to committ...it is even more ridiculous that he is not going to show after that .. Micah get back to the field house and stay out the Media a little bit and get back to business on the field.

Fournette will probably play another 2 or 3 games this season before he goes down with an injury. Some guys just can't hack it in this league.

People can hate on Zeke but he hardly misses a game through injury and averages 4.5 yards a carry in his career.

We used to call that football.

It's not football anymore, nothing stays the same, have you watched football change, they used to wear leather helmets too, they all used to be under 200lbs.

Color me shocked a fellow edge rusher wants to get rid of chip blocks. I'm sure there are plenty of QBs who agree a guy's hand grazing their helmet after a missed block attempt is roughing the passer.

Actually, most retired qbs call it soft, the one current qb that spoke out said somehow the qb rules are ridiculous.
But with concussion issues , it's understandable why they legislate it out.

If they're really concerned about player safety they'd go back to the leather helmets.

The one thing that could be argued is that Fournette "launched" up into Parsons' helmet/head

But otherwise, it's a chip. A brutally hard chip, but a chip.

Yeah, the retired guys are probably wishing they played under the same rules.

Bush league hit by Fournette hitting Micah when Micah is battling with the O-Tackle. Guaranteed Fournette would not do it 1-on-1 straight head-to-head with Micah.

No they won't, that would be stupid and whoever came up with that is stupid. Players are too big and move too fast today. There's no way to eliminate all head contact

You've apparently never heard of rugby. It's like football but without pads.

Exactly -- I watched it at least a half dozen times. What I saw was a shoulder to the face guard by Fournette. Doesn't seem like it should be legal if he hit Micah there while he was engaged with the tackle. Maybe it's not in the books yet as a foul? If not, it seems like it should be.
Oh, I'm fairly sure that would be called, had the official seen it as a shot to the face. They're not even allowed to put their hands to the face while blocking, much less throw a shoulder.
