I believe him. The defense has improved throughout the year and seems to be getting better as players become available. Kneeland should be back soon. Bland should be back in action. Tank has arguably been the rock of this defense for about a decade, and he shouldn't be out too much longer. I doubt it makes any sort of difference, but growing pains were expected this year with the new system and limited personnel in the trenches, but I think they're well on the way to righting the ship. The question is will Zimmer be around next year? If he's the HC, I don't think I'll be watching many games, but as DC, there's some potential here.
