I disagree. If his goal is to make as much money as possible, then yes, he should let his agents make all his decisions for him. But if he's more concerned with loyalty, friendships, helping the team sign good players, etc., then it's his choice.
Obviously talks were initiated and Micah is aware of what’s on the table. He is going to say what is best for him at this moment. Now when Jerry gives him $35 million per year everyone will say he deserves it. He prudently established himself as a team first guy. Probably at Jerry’s behest.

Obviously, his agent will have a lot to say about this. But I figured all of those 'fans' who constantly criticize players who seek the ridiculous money they rightly deserve would be celebrating this statement. Isn't this what you wanted him to say and do?
Odd isn't it.........this is when you know their issues with him are more than football. He is directly telling millions, that helping his team is more important than the largest contract it's getting twisted :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Obviously, the Nick Bosa contract is the starting point for this negotiation.

Cowboys DE Micah Parsons said he doesn't plan to hold out even if a new contract isn't done in the offseason. "I think I'll still be around. I don't know what the coaching is going to be like. At some point, if I got to learn a new scheme. I would love to have (Mike) Zimmer back. ... He has done a tremendous job. I would love to have him back. But if they do change or he just feels like he's ready to go with the horses, I got to learn a new scheme. I got to be around guys. ... There's a chemistry part. ... I still gotta be there for that part."

He also said he doesn't feel the need to set the market, but someone else said the same thing and look at where we are now.

Unfortunately, someone else on the roster didn't get that memo.

I like having Parsons on the roster but I'm of the thought that I will believe him when the time comes.

Many will be surprised, I won't be. Jerry manages through media and perception.

He was embarrassed this year, my prediction is we will be major players in FA.
In the back of my head I can see the same, Micah sure seems to be talking a lot as if he knows something that we don't know

Jerry is not capable of being embarrassed. He already has the excuse to not be major players in FA. Dak's 90M cap hit will eat up most of that space. He didn't have to front load the contract. He structured the contract deliberately that way.
