Micah is a great player, but what exactly is he great at? What does he need to work on to be elite?

He's a speed rusher, gives OT's fits, makes you want to know where he is all the time. Those great things I mentioned are they things he continues to excel at, or are we giving him a pass from years past? I mentioned you must know here he's at at all times, but he mainly lines up at the same place all the time. Back in the day, guys excelled coming from the same place, now days it seems that guys are given more leeway to move around to find the best matchup. I'm sure they did the same at times back in the day. With that said, what would make Micah elite, does he make enough elite plays for you? I don't care about the money he's going to get, i'm focusing on his play, and the title that many give him.

I for one am proud of what he's done in the past, I just feel that he could give us more. It was mentioned that Zimmer wants him to move around more, but during the game they said he likes to rush from that one side. Coming from the same side every play makes it easy for teams to know where you are. At that point that's when you see the huffing and puffing from taking a beating because you're easily located. Not trying to bash Micah at all, I just want a little bit more out of our top defender, if he's actually that anymore?? Please give your thoughts

He is likely to become the highest paid defensive player in the history of the National Football League. There are expectations that come with that. While I don't expect him to be elite every play or every game I do expect to see him making an impact and making plays consistently.

At this point, I'm more concerned about the Cowboys moving him to LB next year. When I heard that earlier this week I could only shake my head. He will less impactful playing LB in my opinion. Seeing Parsons in coverage isn't the best way to use him.

I need to break this down if you don't mind...... Elaborate, so when you saying making more impact plays, I think this is the issue some are not seeing from him, a force fumble, a big play on a key down to get us the ball, strip etc etc, doesn't mean he's bad because he doesn't do that, just something that with being that highly paid of a player you'd expect to see more of these kind of plays made.......... Elaborate if you will

Him playing LB you said you can only shake your head: Why's that? Didn't he play that in college, do you think he's lost his ability to cover by focusing so much on being a pass rusher? Hell in his rookie year he made that nice play in the back of the end zone covering that RB I think it was, that was years ago, but with our lack of depth it's a desperation move more of anything

Agreed, can't be taken away from what we know about him, but is that always shown in the game at the right time, or when you need a big plays from your top player? NOT bashing, just asking a question

he has skills, but he is selfish and he is not a leader. he has too many outside interests and his goal is to get to the next contract. he disappears in big games and he only shows up against weaker opponents and he has quit on the team already this year.

trade his arse. get as many picks as possible. look at Detroit. they traded their biggest asset and now rebuilt and look like the top contender in NFC.

however, Jerry won't do it. no way. no how. Parsons was tops in the league in jersey sales in 2023

btw, Dak prescot was 5th!!!!! so that explains the 60M contract to jerry.

to jerry those will be and are investments that will pay for themselves..... if neither wasn't in the top 20, neither would get a new large contract.

He is elite. He’s been an All Pro every season he’s played in.

Don’t overthink this one.

it's the feeling that we can't let these guys go and see the problems before they get worse is what bothers me at times. You've seen other teams over the years get rid of big names, NOT US!!!!

Selfish, maybe, but that's because he knows he's going to get paid on sacks. He is a leader, he's a 'follow me' leader who garner those around him to improve their game.

That's great, congrats to him, it's not hard to overthink that we could get more out of him. Who cares about being all pro when your constantly only doing well in the pre season, and not going further in the playoffs etc!

I think he's getting paid on more than sacks, he's getting paid on the title that he's an elite player!!! A lot of us are waiting to see this come to light

I don't see him as the leader that he thinks he is. he is going to get paid because of Sack numbers, but when you dig in, its not really there. just like you and many like you saying Dak got his wins and stats against lesser teams, so did Parsons. why be ok with one and not the other....

I think he is over rated and again, I would rather trade him and get picks, than keep him and his antics.

Micah simply needs to let the podcast go, during the season.
Dallas & Micah need to sit down and work on what makes him better. (we don't see anything new)
Micah needs to study film, and understand technique and opponent tendencies & weaknesses matter (assumption)

So, as with the Dak argument, we trade him, because his value is greater in draft capital than it is by paying him top elite money....for less than elite performance.
Yep, I'll agree to that.

I think like several on this team, he likes to say the RIGHT thing, but doing it is something different

Wow, what's good enough for Micah (overrated) wasn't for Dak.
I'd trade Micah, because as with the Dak argument, we aren't going to compete in the next possibly 3 years.

Very simple...get out of dodge and join a team that gives a crap about its players and coaches. Big D is the place you go when your career is over or you don't care about becoming the best that you can be
