Parsons looked very good for a rookie who missed all last year in his first game action of preseason.

saw some speed chasing down the RB on the screen.

Saw him get into the backfield several times and also not allow a RB to get the edge on him.

saw him have a couple tackles.

of course the fumble recovery.

Jaylon Smith meanwhile was getting pushed 7 yards downfield by a guard on a running play.

That he did. I thought Parsons was brilliant. Easily the best LB we've had since Hitchens, and that's saying something. Probably even longer than that.

Well, to be fair, it's not like it's exactly saying much haha. I mean, our LB group since Hitchens went to the Chiefs has been putrid. Parsons easily outshone Jaylon and LVE tonight. Lee was good when healthy, but you know well that was far from a given. I love the way he attacks the ball.. I think we will see fumbles going our way this season with the way he attacks the ball. I also love the way he rushes the QB. That should account for fumbles too.

Im just saying, Parsons is already better than Hitchens so I wouldve said hes our best LB since prime Sean Lee lol

Oh, I see. I wasn't planning on going that far after one preseason game lol. He was brilliant though, and I can easily see him being the best LB in years. I see him becoming better than Lee was. He seems to have a bit of DWare in him.

I think Parsons will be better and more impactful than even Sean Lee was when healthy.

Oh, I can see that. I think I see a bit of a combo of DWare and Troy Polamalu if I dare go that far. He's got the pass rushing abilities of DWare, and the ability to attack the ball like Polamalu did. I think we've got a good one in him.

Risen enjoyed Jaylon’s improved stride extension…
