Parsons looked very good for a rookie who missed all last year in his first game action of preseason.

saw some speed chasing down the RB on the screen.

Saw him get into the backfield several times and also not allow a RB to get the edge on him.

saw him have a couple tackles.

of course the fumble recovery.

Jaylon Smith meanwhile was getting pushed 7 yards downfield by a guard on a running play.

Just that one play where he filled the hole and made the tackle on the back for a 1 yard gain to force 3rd and 3. Had it been Smith, he would have sat there 5 yards downfield and allowed the first down.

Yep. It was a nice play. A lot of trash in the middle and he stuck his neck in there and got to the back to bring him down.

it was a very nice run stop.

It was an impressive show in the little bit of time that he was out there. He had 3 solo tackles and a fumble recovery in just two series.

He is going to be everywhere once the season starts. He has a knack for causing fumbles and the ball always seems to find its way to Micah.

He almost had a sack as well. He tripped before lol. Also. One play where he really showed his speed was when he was going the opposite way and then ran to the sideline to make the tackle. That is what 4.3 speed looks like. And he hasnt played in 2 years? This kid is going to be a STAR

He seemed to be around the ball consistently. One thing I did love they had him lined up all over. Blitzing up the middle, on the left side and right side. A lot of times the transition from college to nfl is tough. The speed of these athletes is remarkable. He was flying around consistently.

Parsons is a star and will be the face of the Dallas defense for the next decade. He just needs some help at LB and some hogs in front of him. Which i think he will get once the season starts. I feel he will begin the resurgence of the defense back to respectability. He leads by performance and effort.
To be honest, i wanted one of the corners as a top pick, but he was my choice if they were not available. I'm glad they weren't.

would you take micah at 12 or trade 2 firsts and a 2nd for pitts?

No, if it was Jaylon, he would have either hit the wrong hole and allowed a 10 yard gain, or pushed back 10 yds by lineman and then jumped on the tackle at the end for an assist and swipe.

The Jaylon hate is warranted…y’all have my blessing to hate away . Luckily the hate will stop very soon.

10 to 15 yards downfield on a consistent basis doesn't count.
Giving up a first down now has categories? Child please.......

The facts are linebackers get paid to make tackles. Jaylon did that at a high level last season despite not having a DL that was keeping him clean. Parson did great and what he is paid to do but if we being honest it didnt look much different than what Jaylon did for us last season.
