Micah says Cowboys are costing themselves more money

I'm going to guess....$4 million?
Then if we add the extra $5M (minimum) we gave Dak...hmmm...I'll go with $9M? Now add $2M more because we could have gotten Micah for $36M if we signed him in February, so let's call it $11M. That's a pretty good starting player we lost in a cap world just due to our front office's total incompetence. So THAT is the difference...
Oh I hear you, and loudly….but they wouldn’t have done it was my point.

Yeah, until they get out of this cycle (and now they won't change just because it would mean admitting how wrong they have been and how badly they have screwed up and all that matters to them is perception) it's like we are playing with a handicap

wait... why? Micah said he didnt need to be the highest paid. Now the price is going up?
I don’t dispute Micah having been genuine with that comment, but then the agent gets into their head.

I strongly believe that “brotherhood” comment from Dak came from his agent.

They have to keep salaries on the rise for their own selfish reasons…..commission and not wanting to be the agent that took a discount. Not great for business.

Exactly right.

It’s a combo of not being good at what they do, plus the conflict of interest of keeping the large money in hand longer as I outlined previously….and of course the attention.

Throw in that having less cap dollars available provides the excuse for not knowing the rest of the league as well as an NFL GM ought to, so they can avoid free agency.

I once felt as if dumb luck could prevail, but it’s just too competitive these days. No shot. Instead they will just continue to attempt to talk things into existence, act as if they wrote the formula for success, and smirk, laugh at or dismiss anyone who dares question the approach.

It sucks man and I want my Cowboys back. Badly.

All Micah had to do is look at how #4 got his record setting contract

Keep his mouth shut, show up for work, be professional and he'll get paid richly.

The blueprint is right there
You forgot one thing,

"always say the right thing, even when you suck"

Dak Prescott~

This is the same thing the fo always does. Wait last minute and then have to pay a record deal

Oh yeah, I just can't wait till we hand this guy a boatload of money and expect a team leader to emerge.

It’s really not going to matter.

It’s not as if it’s a situation where they would have signed more or better players with the difference. They don’t operate that way. Means nothing, but they certainly know they can make money with that money by hanging on to it longer, which is a disadvantage/conflict of interest that no other pro sports franchise has to deal with.

The GM is given a budget and parameters and they are either qualified and perform or they are gone.

It’s insulting when Jerry tries to call it an advantage. Far from it. Then flat out says that he “bought an occupation.” It’s beyond a slap in the face to fans.
Five you said that perfectly!!!! He must get a rush out of it doing it this way or something who knows

So much for Micah being a team player and setting the example as a leader. While he is undoubtedly an athletically gifted player, he is not being a professional; he is going to be paid a king’s ransom…he know it…Jerry knows it…MP needs to handle his business better; no need to take it to social media. Who is going to sympathize with a player who will soon be earning at least $40MM a year without breaking a sweat?
