Micah says Cowboys are costing themselves more money

Because all they have to do is wait another month or two and they can pay him out of the league revenue sharing checks instead of diving into team funds or Jerrys pocket directly. I think the Cowboys have pretty much shown they are fine paying a little more in order for it to not impact their other business decisions.
Which costs you cap, not a way to run a winning franchise.

Micah’s not the keep your mouth shut and go to work type of guy. He’s always be outspoken to the point of him making it known he thinks he’s the top dog on the team. Wait until he gets paid he’ll blurt out whatever he thinks politically correct or not.

Jerry is an old man with dementia. He should be retired from running the business. Unfortunately, the heir to the reins is also incompetent.

No it all comes out of the cap, and jerry cant pay players out of his pocket.
They currently have 38 mil in the cap $, but if they sign micah that goes up to42 or 48 mil.
It isnt about having the $ to sign him, jerry delays for reasons only known to him lol.
If you remember those doodles he made, they show how his mind works lol.
let me see if i can find that image ! found it!

What do you mean it comes out of the cap? The cap is just the accounting side of things, there is no physical money associated with the cap. The cap and cash paid out to players over the course of a season are very different things.

Micah’s cap hit is going to be significant lower than the amount of cash he brings in the first year of a new deal. He may cost around $20m against the cap, but the cowboys will probably have to write a check for $150m.

The Cap is a debit card the NFL gives each NFL team each year. It has a limit, and they can only spend what is on the card and some they had left over from previous year. Thats it.

Negotiating on social media now?
He's just being realistic. If TJ Watts' new deal is bigger than Myles Garrett then Micah's new deal is gonna be bigger than TJ's, particularly since it is a 2nd contract whereas the others are working on third deals.

This isn't negotiating -- it is simply how things work in the NFL.

I will repeat my prediction of September 4, 2025, about four hours before the start of game #1 of the regular season.

Incorrect. Sign on bonuses get paid immediately in full, and are spread out over the length of the contract.
