I didn't say anything about his parenting. I said statistics show it's better for the children if they aren't born into wedlock. I thought that was clear.
I quoted you, but I was generally speaking to everyone one this post discussing his marital status, his children status, or anything along those personal lines. It really has no place in a football discussion.

You’re asking a senior with senior memory to go back and name the players. Trust me what I’m telling you is true. I’m known for my integrity. It might’ve started with Willie McGuinness Tyler. I could go search it if you really want me to. they’ve had multiple first round pics for multiple seasons, that’s how they got Wolf Fork.

Sure. But I also think the Patriots are kind of an outlier because they had one of the best QB’s ever. Probably the best save for Mahomes who may pass him.

The Raiders traded their star pass rusher for picks and got garbage players with those picks and fell into the toilet.

So it’s not a clear advantage to do so.

Name the best players they traded away for first round picks.
I just went and checked. They traded out of the first round six times under Belichick. And received other first round picks for doing so along with players. He didn’t believe in signing the second contract he believed in getting value, and that was the beauty of Belichick.

They traded out of the first round.

That’s different than trading star players.

I do think Richard Seymour is one they traded though.

Yes, you never know what you’re going to get in a draft pick until maybe two or three seasons later. It works for some not for others. It probably wouldn’t work for us lol

They’ve also traded star players. Give me a minute and I’ll tell you which ones.

They traded Richard Seymour for a first rounder. That is one.
In 2009 they traded a first round player for Gronkowski and Edelman. They traded at least five first round players in eight year span. It won’t let me copy and paste, but I live in New England so I kind of knew this.

Bill Belichick has traded first-round players for other draft picks during his time as head coach of the New England Patriots: I copied this off the Web. I don’t know why it won’t do the rest.

It’s ok. I’m agreeing with you he did it.

I’m just saying I don’t know if that’s really the main reason for even a primary reason for the patriots success.

Well, the reason why I said it is this. We’ve been a 50-50 team for so long the Cowboys we always draft in the middle of the draft. It’s very rare we get a top 10 pick. there are teams that outright fail for two or three seasons, get two or three great players usually. we’re middle of the pack because we draft in the middle of the pack. But Jerry wants to put a winning team on the field not a championship team necessarily. I’m from the old Cowboys fan forum. I rely on speaking text. Most people know that about me. I have nerve damage in my hands, carpal tunnel from the military. So if my post get gobbled, I apologize. I have no agenda, I just love the game of football. Over 200,000 posts and I’ve never reported anyone. I’m proud of that. I’ve must’ve been reported at least 3×4 times here already. It’s sad.

You make some good points Whirl. And I respect your opinion on it.

The biggest thing is. If they do trade Micah. They BETTER nail those draft picks. If they draft some busts. It would be very bad.

I wanted Parsons. I was thrilled when they drafted him. I don’t know if he doesn’t want to set the edge stop the run or if he just wants to be glorified pass rusher. It’s definitely a talent and we’re wasting it. We’re too small. I think that’s the bottom line. In my opinion we’re getting pushed around like we’re boys against men. you’re going to get injured. We only can take a pounding for so long. This is like gladiators without weapons football is brutal.

They definitely play Micah at pure DE way too often.

It’s poor coaching IMO.

If they don’t trade him we will get to see what their next DC has in mind. But that would be one of the questions I would ask when interviewing DC’s. “What’s your plan on how to maximize Micah Parsons”.

We are relying on our 20 sack ceiling player to stop the run - that is the problem…Dlaw wants to be Micah and wont settle for 0 in the sack column - thus shooting his gap and leaving wide open holes

Well, they all got paid. Whats left to accomplish? They sure as heck don't care about winning.
