Micah vs agents

Seems crystal clear to me. The best way to handle contract negotiations, whether it’s the player or management, is to just be quiet. It’s stupid to make public comments.
That's his agent he's naming right?

Doesn't seem smart to me but what do I know.

So is he saying his agent is letting people get violated by teams?

I’m not fluent in Parsons. Is he bashing his agent or promoting him? Would it kill him to make a private phone call and not put this on the internet?

Uh oh, is he talking about HIS deal I assume?

no I think this is being taken out of context he's not talking about his agent I think he's happy with his agent he's promoting his agent but he's saying he's seen other players get taken advantage by other agents that's why I read into it you guys always read in the worst that's not what I saw I mean I could be wrong but the way I read that he's talking about somebody else..

Sounds like Micah’s agent has him fooled into thinking he is the only agent that puts in effort and is decent, huh?

Micah thinks his agent cares more about him than himself.

That’s cute.

I don't think it is clear,

I think he was very ambiguous,

I don't think he met his agent,

I think he's happy with his agent, I think he's just stating he's seen other players get taken advantage by other agencies and not have their best interest.

I believe he believes in his and possibly promoting his agency?.... It's definitely not crystal clear..

I don't see where you see that I see it being very ambiguous to me he's not ripping his own agent he's just saying what he's noticed this is his perspective on how the off seasons are being handled by other agents...

We could all be wrong, because that is leaving way too much to decipher. IMHO

I’m just talking about contract negotiations, not agents.

I think he means the opposite. I think he is saying David has been showing he has the best interest of the players at heart. If he would have put a comma after wake up, it would read completely differently. To me, that is by far the most logical reading. Even Parsons wouldn’t throw his agent under the bus like that publicly during a negotiation.

IMO, this suggests that a discount is dead.

Yeah, you’re right. It does read differently if you put a comma after wake up. Too bad Jerry and Stephen didn’t jump on this contract when Micah was saying he’d take less. I got a feeling Jerry and Air Quotes are going to drag this out and cause more money to be spent.

He was never alive. But it was cute to see some fans believe it
I believe he could have meant it when he said it. I also believe any agent worth his salt is never going to let that happen for a top player without a fight. No agent is going to intentionally give ownership additional leverage in current or future negotiations. There is a reason agents are always looking to reset the top of the market and ownership is looking for cracks to lower.

I’m not discounting that you could be right. I’m just suggesting that it’s possible that he was sincere. But, if it’s true that Micah never meant it, it was an incredibly stupid thing to say publicly.

Personally, I think his agent talked some sense into him.
