What I really like about that interview, besides he did show humility, is that is the same mindset that D players had on the Bears, Giants, Ravens and Bucs great D's, it is up to us. He even went so far to say if the O puts up 0 points, lol. That is a Lawrence Taylor or Ed Reed mindset.
His worst game was the playoff game and he owned that, even after calling for the best player to be his. I really like that. He realizes he has not really arrived yet, he is still learning.
He's going so far to say when we can't count on what this team has been about for 20 years, offense, it is still up to us to win the game. That has been missing since Ware departed. His motor was not dependent on the score.
The other thing I like about this is it goes against the grain of the local media to always sell the offense. They're why too many think it was all about the triplets in the 90's. It was not any more than the Steelers were about Bradshaw, Haris and Swann or the Niners about Montana, Craig and Rice.
The emergence of Micah Parsons prevents them from making this the All Dak Prescott Show, which I am really worn out over. This poor guy gets more coverage than Staubach and Aikman when they were winning championships........ combined.
And this also gives us all a player we can all get behind and not get into petty arguments about.
As far as they'll be ready for him this season, that unto itself is a huge benefit. It was the preoccupation with Taylor and Thomas that not only benefitted the other D players but they couldn't even stop them.
I do think young Micah is getting close to that rare air not many players find, even the great players. There is good and there is great but few reach that level of a Force. Donald owns that now but he may have company very soon.
