2023 is the year he came back from his knee injury and had 9 sacks and he had been playing in a 3-4. 2024 & 2025 they switched to a 4-3.

That could be part of the problem, but I wont hold my breath. Depends on the specifics of the scheme, but typically pass rush numbers are better from the even fronts. Between a 3-4 base and the players we have up front this should be an excellent run defense. I remain a bit worried about their ability to get to the QB though.

The pressures were stilll there, but I think the concern with Gary is how quick those pressers were happening. The sacks were disappearing because hes taking longer to get to the QB.

Per NFL.com his average time to pressure by year:

2022 - 2.67 seconds
2023 - 2.99
2024 - 2.84
2025 - 3.21

His number of pressures in under 2 seconds decreased from 20 in 2024 to just 8 in 2025.

As you mentioned with his pressure rate where it is those numbers still hold value, but I think there should be some concern that Gary is in decline despite him only being 28 years old.

Terrence is right about one thing, Gary stops the run. That's what the Cowboys need. They have the fast, twitchy edge rushers in EZ and Lawrence. I see Gary as another Greg Ellis. Not a fast edge rusher, but a crafty and strong one that gets 5 to 8 sacks a year.

I have never said that. What I keep saying is that dodo Jerry would never have traded for the likes of Q if he had resigned Micah. I would have preferred to have both but not possible that Jerry would have done it.

Micah was a beast when he could pin his ears back and rush from different places on the line of scrimmage. But when Parsons was left rushing to much from from the ends, teams started running tackles and guards at him and he was far less effective. He was a liability in the run game, somebody needs to remind the brother of this.

Micah "opted out" on his Penn State team mates his last season there. I suspect his DNA for sustained success is pretty weak. I'm glad "opt out boy" is gone.

But that would be fine if Eze could get 7 to 10 and Lawrence could get 6 or 8 and Barham could get 5 to 7. A committee of players who can get sacks and pressures could be Parkers formula. This new and improved secondary might make some plays and interceptions as a result. Quinnen Williams will get a few and Clark will have a few as well.
