Micah's brother is ripping Rashan Gary

Ultimately I’ve moved on and fine with the Micah trade. I love Quinnen Williams. My argument is more just not wanting to let the FO off the hook for failing to build around him when he was here.

People want to look back and blame Micah for the run defense. When in reality he wasn’t the problem. The DT’s and LB’s were. And the FO scapegoated Micah because the FO never takes responsibility themselves for anything.

And if the current rendition of the Cowboys fails, they’ll just choose another scapegoat. Quinnen Williams is an elite DT but if they fail to put more guys around him. A few years from now the front office will just blame him.

PFF Run Defense Grades

By the way, I didn’t include all the others but in 2024, his last year here, Parsons was the best run defender on our entire defensive line

Parsons
2021: 59.9
2022: 73.2
2023: 68.1
2024: 65.5
2025: 72.6

Tank
2021: 90.1
2022: 92.2
2023: 92.4
2024: 62.4
2025: 85.0

Clark
2021: 54.7
2022: 53.0
2023: 61.2
2024: 57.1
2025: 53.7

You always know the loser by how they open their mouth.

Gary is a serviceable and generally dependable player. If we surround him with other good players, then the team will be good. It's when you mix and match elite players with trash players that you team sucks.

I mostly agree. I don’t really pay attention to what the front office says anymore. They do and say stupid things many times and I’m not letting them off the hook. However, I’m also not letting Micah off the hook for the way he acted. They were both stupid.

Micah parsons career stats. (Not counting last year as he was injured most of the second half of the season)

Career totals (2021–2024):

* First half: 27.5 sacks
* Second half: 25.0 sacks
Huh. It’s almost as if once a misconception gets repeated enough it starts sounding like common knowledge.

Kinda like those run grade scores above that don’t fit the common narrative of Micah = Traffic Cone and Clark = Human Logjam

To be fair, that stat is first half and second half. We’re talking about the end of the season That works be the last 4 or 5 games and the playoffs. I’m sure it wasn’t intentional but stats can be manipulated.

That wasn't our initial plan though. Remember that the team tried to trade for Crosby with picks after securing Q for picks. So we tried to have another main guy and just fell flat. So we have little choice but to hope for a Seattle system of success except our guys are less known quantities. It's an area of concern, IMO.
It's just to say that we have a war daddy! How many war daddies have won Superbowls, high paid war daddies

Micah "opted out" on his Penn State team mates his last season there. I suspect his DNA for sustained success is pretty weak. I'm glad "opt out boy" is gone.
Translation "I prefer players who risk career ending injuries for free while coaches and athletic directors make millions."

Yay, more useless commentary to add into the universe.

You the man Terence!

Right but my point is. That the FO makes that **** up. They should have been adding good DT’s to play with Micah.

Just because you have an elite edge defender doesn’t mean the FO should have kept putting absolute garbage at DT next to him.
Well sure I don’t disagree at all, I do think paying Micah that GB money though wouldn’t haunted us long term though, not that we ever go buy high priced FAs though either

Yeah. It’s not even so much that they traded Micah. That’s just the symptom. The root issue is the cowboys FO poor roster construction period. And their bad strategy when it comes to cap
Management.

The cowboys FO has their own propaganda wing that are experts at creating media narratives for fans to go with.
