Micah's reaction to Garrett Deal

Honors don't help if the mind remains weak. His work at State Penn. has not come into play, has it?

This is true but you know what most players are like this you guys wonder why the Cowboys signed two or three contracts but then act like we should feel bad for them because they never won a championship you blame Jerry Jones you know how many great players have played for teams that never won anything too many to list they cannot be on the same team this isn't the Major League Baseball with absolutely no salary cap whatsoever you can spend whatever you want and all like 5 teams in the league have all the talent that's what parody was for that's what the salary cap was for the talent is spread out...

At least the Cowboys are winning a lot of regular season games in the last 10 years they're still playing in prime time and they are winning divisions and they're going to the playoffs more often than not and that's at least something it's a whole hell of a lot more than the Browns the Browns haven't even won a division since 1989 let that sink in compared to what people talk about the Cowboys wasting talent well I'd say that there are more wasted talent on another team or two....
yes , but just because there are worse teams, and coaches, doesnt mean we cant
criticize the cowboys.
There are also many teams who are doing way better than the cowboys last 5-10 years.

Not really ,

I mean when it's really a common occurrence ,

you just picking on the Jones family it's just more of the pitchfork and torch crowd just complaining more,
it literally is more common for players to end up on teams that allegedly waste their career, it happens there are not many teams winning championships, I hate to break it to you there are a lot of Hall of Fame players that never even played in the Super bowl, it just happens, now there's more movement now where a guy like DeMarcus Ware finally went and got his ring elsewhere, but that doesn't usually happen and they usually chase the money..
It's their own fault that they stay on their teams, why do you think Martin stayed here for a couple extra contracts instead of just left same with tyron Smith just stayed stop having empathy for players who made their own choices and right now!!
you see that with a player who came right out and complained he wanted to be on a winning team he wanted to be traded they handed him $40 million he stayed that's miles Garrett, that's a hypocrite, I don't have any empathy for players like him he'll go down as one of the best pass rushers in the history of the NFL that never played for a championship, unless it happens late in his career..

I mean if you think about it Matthew Stafford nearly had that happen but he ended up leaving and going to the Rams he got lucky but his counterparts in Megatron and Barry Sanders never really sniffed the championship,

nobody feels bad for them, they took the money, they stayed and that's just normal...

that's more normal than what you're suggesting so you can criticize whoever you want but I'm bringing common sense in this conversation saying it's getting old because when you bring up a subject when it seems like you're nitpicking our ownership when it's normal across sports the entire landscape of sports have players that end up on teams that just never them rings but they choose to stay especially in the NFL..

Like I said, times are changing there are more player movement, but if this was such a negative thing for the players, they would move more often!!!!

Why would they sign new deals, why did Prescott sign his third deal here?
he could have got the same money elsewhere, lamb same thing, I mean this continues you see something the players do not they all want a ring but when they're drafted and they're and they like their teams.. they like most of their fan base, they remain.... and yet you're choosing to be a representative them to protest and to complain when it really is not necessary because we're about to watch it happen again.. we watched OSA just sign a new deal we seen Trayvon diggs here, we're gonna see Michael Parsons stay here, So apparently it's not such a big deal..
but you're making it a big deal so you can further protest the front office you don't understand that that's what people see when people start becoming complainers 24/7 it's all some of you all do and it gets old and tiresome because this is normal it's more normal than you think....

If this place was such a mess and the culture you guys described which I get it because of the lack of championship games but this was so bad and Jerry was so hard to work for and our coaching staff was such clowns and our culture was actually losing which is actually not regular season win percentage is much better than a lot of teams then why are players staying?!!

there are literally more staying till the end of their careers, don't give me tank his words on his way out that's called being butthurt, the man was here 11 years he was part of the issue, he's gone, he made some words on his way out, but other players are signing new deals, more players are staying then leaving, if they were drafted here and become stars the likelihood they stay they do not go, explain why they stay if it's as bad as what fans are trying to imply?!!

Well your why are players staying? has some validity, it isnt easy to leave.
Take lamb or parsons or dak, they would have to go thru 2 years of F Tag, then they would
have to find a SB caliber team who needed them and wanted them , and had the cap room
to sign them to the same $ they could get at dallas.

How many teams could afford Dak @ 60 mil a year, lamb @ 35, and parsons at 35-45 ?

It is easier to stay, and the star players get more $ than they are worth with jerry, so they stay.

I dont care if these guys get a ring or not, and I used to say romo was stupid to stay here.
But it is easy and profitable to stay where they are.

The cowboys deserve to be criticized , whether you like it or think otherwise.
They have got to the playoffs a lot, but havent won a div round game since

I predict Micah signs for 36$ a year

Garrett’s deal is like Mccaffrey’s, Adrian Peterson’s, Megatron’s, Aaron Donald’s: you just kind of throw that one out when discussing an extension, because it’s such a monster outlier
You're cold.....increase your estimate by 4 mil if you want to get hotter

you can blame ownership and yes, they deserve some criticism,

but what you're forgetting is that the players themselves don't need you to cry for them I don't feel bad for them no empathy......

they are making a ton of money and they are also the root of the problem,
we have so many guys up for giant contracts that means somebody's drafting well enough to put stars on this team,
that need these contracts, that means it lies somewhere right in between the blame for not getting to an NFC championship game or to a Super Bowl in so long is not just the ownership, it's not just the culture, these players are not stepping up when the brightest of lights are on them..
it literally is obvious there's no separation, drop passes, too many penalties ,the offensive line is not blocking well ,the defensive line is not getting stops on the run, or not getting to the quarterback on a consistent basis they're dropping interceptions, they're missing tackles, they're not covering well this stuff is not all the Jones family and you keep thinking it is like we should feel bad for some of these players is insane IMHO... They got paid and still were the ones doing those things above,

Oh and lastly many teams do that they have quarterbacks making 55 million and then like a miracle happens is somehow Cincinnati affords 2 wide receivers at top market pay how does that happen the eagles did it the eagles won a Super Bowl having a quarterback making over 50 and having two highly paid wide receivers having highly paid players all over the map so somehow you think this is a Jerry Jones problem and he's holding these players hostage and it's his fault we're not getting further and you're not looking at what the root of the problem is is the players themselves not doing enough the eagles won a Super Bowl with Nick Foles at quarterback he couldn't do anything else around the league before that or after that when he was on the eagles teams the only place he was successful and yet somehow they won with him.. You know why it's because Nick Foles stepped up when the lights turned on the team around him played really well, he's kind of like Cooper rush the team stood up and helped him be successful and they won it..

The same with Matthew Stafford,
.
the guy was the same guy in Detroit as he was with the Rams he led the league in interceptions, had 2 INTs in the SB, but his team stepped up in the right moments..

had nothing to do with Jerry Jones and ownership, I know I want them to do a bit more but we had good enough players to make pro bowls and all pros we were there in the playoffs five out of the last eight years ,and just couldn't get it done, and that's mostly on the players,

there's too many instances that we can see they did not get it done...

they did not execute even if the team wasn't all in or loaded they were good enough to win two divisions from the that means they were good enough in the playoffs to go further they just didn't execute... So there's no way I'm gonna feel bad for our players not getting a ring because most of them we're part of the problem a big part of the problem is they didn't execute in big moments..

Actually Jerry doesn't overpay more than they're worth, he's paying market value to keep stars here because we'd be far worse without them and don't use last year as an example that was injury riddled year just like 2020 but that three-year run of 36 games and 2 division wins against an eagles roster that supped to be better , we had he put plenty of stars on the field to get it done and they are equally responsible for the drought. If they can be good enough to win 12 games and divisions, they were good enough to get to an NFCCG for sure..

they failed themselves!!

The teams that wanted to pay that have they find it pretty easy like the eagles and the Rams and right now Cincinnati looks like they're willing to pay a lot to a small handful of players you act like there aren't many teams any team that wanted to will...eagles, rams, and now cinci come to mind. there are others..
