Michael Crabtree released

Sure he's better than Twill, but is that the option here? Sign Crabtree and get rid of WIlliams, I don't think that would be the plan even if the FO did bring him in. But put me down as someone who would like to see Williams replaced. Preferably in the draft.

The Raiders sorta took a nose dive last year like the Cowboys obviously for different reasons but If we let Butler walk and look to go defense the first few picks in the draft I wouldn’t be opposed to throwing a offer out there for Crabtree. Would rather get Crabtree for a short term contact then Watkins for the  contract.

I would prefer defense with the first few picks that is why I wouldn’t mind this though.

His career yards per catch average is only 11.9 ypc, which is pretty pedestrian, and not really indicative of a reliable downfield threat. His catch % is typically between 57% and 62%, which is also very pedestrian. T-Will actually outdoes him in both areas. He's not a speedster. He's more of a big bodied guy that hopes to win the position battle with CBs.
He wins the positional battle regularly due to his size... Medium and long range. Kick the tires.

I wouldn't mind Crabtree, but only if we are moving on from Dez or Twill... otherwise i don't see the fit, what we really need a speedy WR to stretch defenses.

At only 11.9 ypc he can't winning too many medium and long range battles. A lot of TEs these days have that kind of average or better.

With the FA market for WRs, he'll prob be too expensive, but it's worth taking a look-see. He's prob better than T-Will

No thanks. He’s a less explosive Dez Bryant. He would add no new dimension to our offense.
