Gallup 13 receptions for 165 yards, 29 long, 12.7 YPC, and no TDs (yet). I say 7 by the season's end. He's a redzone threat if you allow him to be, just not an obvious one.

The knock on Brandin Cooks, and exactly why he's been around on so many different teams: because he gets a lot of production, but doesn't produce a lot of points (look it up), so his cost ends up not being worth the value in money (in terms of cashing into production to help win games).

Brandin Cooks 8 receptions for 66 yards, 8.3 yards a catch with a long of 16 yards, and no TDs.

Remember all the ones saying Gallup was washed? Nah, he's just coming back in time to earn his keep around here. He helped us get the game going today and once he gets going we're impossible to stop, I think.

Sometimes you just need that pesky possession receiver who can eat up clock and chew away at your morale. Then, you rev up the engine and floor the WCO. I think this offense is coming around. I think the Patriots are a better team than your usual 1-3 team, but they are what they are. They didn't have the QB to beat a defense like ours today.

Anyway, I love to see Micael Gallup coming around. He's a fun player to me because he's just such a humble guy off the field. Love me some MG. I don't care what y'all say.

Gallup had more receptions than Lamb, Cooks, or Tolbert. This makes him WR-1 by definition.

Therefore, what value do you think the Cowboys can get by trading CD before the deadline?

......Hey, I'm just preempting the ridiculousness.

Seriously, I'm sure we all noticed Tolbert as well. I'm glad there is quality depth in some positions. Obviously they will need it.

I will be honest neither set of numbers is very good. Cowboys thought they had recreated the 3 headed monster that each had 1000 receiving yards and neither of those 2 are on pace for it.

And Dakota isn't on pace for 4500 yards either so having three 1k receivers is pretty unlikely. We also throw a lot to the TE and RB.

Don’t get the Cooks usage. Maybe MM is just saving all the good stuff for this week

After game one, 99% if CZ was whining that Gallup was toast and might as well cut him...

They aren't using Cooks the way they told us they would. At least not so far. Just more Jerry hype to this point.
Behind closed doors, I'm wondering if the big execs are privately griping over the lack of innovativeness
and creativity of the play caller to exploit the expected splash players

- You don't acquire one of the more premiere speed WRs in NFL for him to be a part of
a pedestrian " dink n dunk " offense.

- Cooks is flat out misused with the wrong play caller and the wrong offense.

- Plus,.. I don't particularly care for how Pollard is being used in this McCarthy either.

I think our WRs are really really good we just don’t use them.

Especially when the defense is scoring at will.

Tolbert has been a boss since Pre-season. He’s a starter imo on most teams.

Turpin needs to be used more. Speed like that on the field will stretch the defense. Use it.

I don't really get the quietly part. Before his ACL tear he was a better wide receiver then Cooks. Gallup is a really good wideout.

You have an excellent point.

Can't be. I read in here he can't separate, doesn't fit this offense, should be traded.........

Glad to say I said all along he would be healthy this season and be fine just needed some targets.
You weren't the only one.

We are not using cooks right. Get him out in space and deep down middle. We don’t have aggressive passing scheme. Dumb short throws and wr screens.
We're through Game 4 of 17.... lots of time to get things worked out.

I think Next week vs SF Dallas make take a few deep shots. have a feeling SF will load the box and come at Dak a lot
