Gallup 13 receptions for 165 yards, 29 long, 12.7 YPC, and no TDs (yet). I say 7 by the season's end. He's a redzone threat if you allow him to be, just not an obvious one.

The knock on Brandin Cooks, and exactly why he's been around on so many different teams: because he gets a lot of production, but doesn't produce a lot of points (look it up), so his cost ends up not being worth the value in money (in terms of cashing into production to help win games).

Brandin Cooks 8 receptions for 66 yards, 8.3 yards a catch with a long of 16 yards, and no TDs.

Remember all the ones saying Gallup was washed? Nah, he's just coming back in time to earn his keep around here. He helped us get the game going today and once he gets going we're impossible to stop, I think.

Sometimes you just need that pesky possession receiver who can eat up clock and chew away at your morale. Then, you rev up the engine and floor the WCO. I think this offense is coming around. I think the Patriots are a better team than your usual 1-3 team, but they are what they are. They didn't have the QB to beat a defense like ours today.

Anyway, I love to see Micael Gallup coming around. He's a fun player to me because he's just such a humble guy off the field. Love me some MG. I don't care what y'all say.
That's odd right two weeks ago they were talking about Michael Gallup being a ghost in this offense not a good fit for this offense and not being worth his salt and then all of a sudden now look what happened This is why you don't make wholesale judgments after two or three games you wait till 17 games.. There's a reason Michael Gallup is on this team he's a solid number two and a great #3 you need those on your team but I guarantee Brandon cooks will find his rhythm in this offense down the road he's gonna have one of those giant games as well...

Again you remember all the posts on Facebook and I believe there might have been a few here getting all over Michael Gallup like where's he been where disappointed with him and now look it's just a couple games he's turning things around...

They don't have to throw the ball downfield and aren't trying. You can't possible evaluate the WRs in that context.

It's good Gallup looks ready to be contribute, and I look for Cooks to get going soon too. All these guys will step to have a good offense. Heck, even Tolbert is catching passes.

This is just a garbage offense for most of our receivers. Everyone besides CeeDee gets the most conservative 5 yard routes called possible - screens, flats, hitches, etc.

At this point in the season, I am not blaming Cooks' shortcomings. I am blaming McCarthy's shortcomings.

Heck you say! I have seen many posts here that Gallup isn't an NFL-level receiver.

Cooks is gonna be fine with more time with Dak. Gallup is a great receiver.

IF Cooks gets going it will make this offense scary. It will open up the running game bigtime.

We're through Game 4 of 17.... lots of time to get things worked out.

I think Next week vs SF Dallas make take a few deep shots. have a feeling SF will load the box and come at Dak a lot
It probably will force a different kind of game from us. In three of our four games, there has been no real need to attack deep. The greater need has been to protect the ball and not make any mistakes that undo defensive dominance. The Arizona game is the only one where we needed more from our receivers, and Gallup had 92 yards receiving in that one.

"ya'll" coming from you seems more and more like a code word.

A southerner that uses it for real doesn't bother with apostrophe.
It feels like people in the south seem to have no clue
that "y'all" or "yall" has been taken from them and re-used in the urban areas all across the country.

We get too caught up in stats. I don’t care who produces as long as someone is producing. If Cooks is making things easier for Gallup then what’s the issue?
Right. We act like Cooks is supposed to be the No. 2 and Gallup the No. 3, but who cares which is which. We just need our receiving corps to be effective in helping us move the ball. I wouldn't even matter if one of them were outproducing Lamb, as long as they are producing.

An illiterate Southerner. Those of us who are educated Southerners understand that it is short for you all and therefore takes an apostrophe. Don't lump us all in together.

It helps when Cooks missed have because of injury. Hard to catch the ball when you aren't in the game

Love to see Gallup is back.

If the Cowboys knew he would be and if they knew Jalen Tolbert would break out in camp, they could have saved a couple draft picks and not traded for Cooks. Having said that I'm still glad Cooks is here because you can never have enough weapons.

There's a certain bunch that don't like Gallup and thought Cooks was going to ship him out eventually. Come to find out Gallup ain't quite finished afterall.
