I read this on another forum but can't find it, has anyone heard this?

I'm seeing reports on Twitter that he may be another Raider to be released due to "out of whack" contracts, but nothing official from what I have seen. He didn't say anything about being released on his account.

I could see him being brought in under a reasonable contract

I have heard that the Raiders will release Huff, Wimbley, and Seymore.

Ryan didn't want Huff last year so please no threads on him this year.
Also Ryan traded Wimbley to Oakland when he was in Cleveland so I doubt he will want him here.
Seymour will cost and arm and a leg and can't play 3-4 DE anymore. But he still a very good 4-3 DT.

There was no cap space last year

We had plenty of cap space if we wanted to sign him.. remember we were in the running for Nnamdi, so we must have had a pretty significant offer on the table.

yeas there was, we had about 10 million going into the start of the season.
We had enough to sign him. You can make contracts work how ever you need them to.

Ryan didn't want him, didn't like him.

If we had no cap space then why did Jerry try and get Nnambi?

Maybe because they now know they were wrong last year.

did you seen him play, Ryan had him for years in Oakland, he knows how he plays, if Ryan wanted him they would have gotten him. He didn't do anything this year to make Jerry upset for not signing him.

Huff given up way to many big plays this year. Oakland fans want Mike Mitchell to start and have Huff moved to nickel.

Only saw him play in one or two games. He seemed fine when I saw him. Admittedly, I didn't watch the whole Raiders season though. But then again we have to remember, he was on the Raiders.

Raiders had just as good a season as we did.

Huff isn't anybetter than Sensy.

I don't see Dallas going after any FA safety unless its resigning Elam and or Mike Adams. I think Ryan will get one in the draft.

I would rather sign Elam and Mike Adams and wait till next year and draft Rambo or McDonald next year.

The Raiders cut Standord Routt, CB...

Who was awful last year for the Raiders.

he wasn't awful, Newman and Ball is awful.

he was great in 2010.

Hmm. No.

He's been the 89th ranked corner, two seasons in a row.

His numbers have been "Newmanesque".

In 2009 he was 94th.

I don't have a clue what the Raiders were thinking by resigning the guy. But obviously someone smartened up and cut him.

he was 2nd in 2010 only behind Revis in burn rate.

Yea, they were wrong because no one gave him the deal he wanted, and the team that did sign him wants to cut him now.. good call.

How much dead money are the Raiders going to end up with after dumping all these guys?

Different sources different numbers.

But regardless. To dump a guy after one season screams loudly the amount of suck the player represented for that one season.

Yet now he's on the street.. imagine that?

17 penalties, gave up 8 TD's.. that's worse than Newman. Our goal is to upgrade. I can see how you got confused though.
