Michael Irvin is beyond excited about Pickens trade says Cowboys are playoff-bound

Well I just read some of what you and that other guy were saying to each other, and you said
your posts were about 200 words.
As a rule most here dont read long posts, and even 200 is considered long.

I dont personally care how long your posts are. I probably wont read them if they are real long
though.
Bob does do long ones, but his are not one long paragraph either.
Trust me my intent is NOT to impress,

I Don't need your assurances or approvals. if you don't read it don't read it i'm telling you there are a lot longer posts made by the moderators here not that I'm knocking them but go look at all the write ups by Bob and CC Boy and others that are as long or longer and that's starting a brand new thread and a brand new post so if you don't read them I don't think anybody's reading anything it sounds like people have like AADHD can't concentrate on 200 words ,oops..

Yes we're in the day and age people can't do much else but use memes emoticons and jiffies that's all that attracts attention if it's too many words to read OMG..

I’m saying his issue with the Steelers was mostly with Tomlin, not with his teammates. Our conversation was never about whether Pickens is a malcontent. It was about your comment that Pickens was one of the worst teammates in the 90 year history of the Steelers.

It may be a 1 year rental, which I have acknowledged. Frankly I have no idea. I’m just saying I’m not willing to concede that it is and shared my thoughts on why.

I do find it ironic that many posters talk about how much of a cancer he is and how the Cowboys got fleeced by competing against themselves because no one else wanted him, yet turn around and suggest that these same teams that didn’t want him for a 3rd are going to line up to give him a 25M+ contract a season later. That seems to me to be somewhat contradictory. Is the suggestion that they just want to see one year of choirboy behavior before backing up the truck? And where were all these teams who needed a #1 receiver when he was available for a 3rd.

Maybe he gets $25M or even $35M as some have suggested. But it seems to me that if it is true that no one else wanted him for a 3rd, it is not a stretch to think that he may not have the market he desires after 1 season of good behavior during a contract year.

But that’s just me.
Well, if your issue is my assertion he's of the worst teammates in Steeler history, then refute it. Some non-specific reference to something you might have read about teammates liking him is far from a retort with any kind of weight. I've been watching the NFL for 45 years. So I am more than entitled to an opinion. Pickens is in rarified air when it comes to lousy teammates. So, let's define "lousy teammate". You seem to have it confused with popularity. A lousy teammate is one that sets the team back during games with bonehead personal foul penalties. Pickens has wracked up almost 300K in fines for his on field behavior. A lousy teammate is late to team meetings and completely oblivious to the fact their behavior impacts their team and teammates in a negative way. His relationship with Tomlin has nothing to do with it. His behavior is narcissistic and immature. Thats not on Tomlin. All of this behavior...... the temperamental personal foul penalties...... mentally checking out of games/ giving inconsistent effort....... being late to or skipping team meetings..... all of this was on full display at UGA. Nothing has changed.

I've got Antonio Brown and Pickens in a class by themselves in Steeler lore. They couldn't wait to get rid of him and Dallas was the only team knocking on their door for him.
