Michael Irvin is beyond excited about Pickens trade says Cowboys are playoff-bound

Well I just read some of what you and that other guy were saying to each other, and you said
your posts were about 200 words.
As a rule most here dont read long posts, and even 200 is considered long.

I dont personally care how long your posts are. I probably wont read them if they are real long
though.
Bob does do long ones, but his are not one long paragraph either.
Trust me my intent is NOT to impress,

I Don't need your assurances or approvals. if you don't read it don't read it i'm telling you there are a lot longer posts made by the moderators here not that I'm knocking them but go look at all the write ups by Bob and CC Boy and others that are as long or longer and that's starting a brand new thread and a brand new post so if you don't read them I don't think anybody's reading anything it sounds like people have like AADHD can't concentrate on 200 words ,oops..

Yes we're in the day and age people can't do much else but use memes emoticons and jiffies that's all that attracts attention if it's too many words to read OMG..

I’m saying his issue with the Steelers was mostly with Tomlin, not with his teammates. Our conversation was never about whether Pickens is a malcontent. It was about your comment that Pickens was one of the worst teammates in the 90 year history of the Steelers.

It may be a 1 year rental, which I have acknowledged. Frankly I have no idea. I’m just saying I’m not willing to concede that it is and shared my thoughts on why.

I do find it ironic that many posters talk about how much of a cancer he is and how the Cowboys got fleeced by competing against themselves because no one else wanted him, yet turn around and suggest that these same teams that didn’t want him for a 3rd are going to line up to give him a 25M+ contract a season later. That seems to me to be somewhat contradictory. Is the suggestion that they just want to see one year of choirboy behavior before backing up the truck? And where were all these teams who needed a #1 receiver when he was available for a 3rd.

Maybe he gets $25M or even $35M as some have suggested. But it seems to me that if it is true that no one else wanted him for a 3rd, it is not a stretch to think that he may not have the market he desires after 1 season of good behavior during a contract year.

But that’s just me.
Well, if your issue is my assertion he's of the worst teammates in Steeler history, then refute it. Some non-specific reference to something you might have read about teammates liking him is far from a retort with any kind of weight. I've been watching the NFL for 45 years. So I am more than entitled to an opinion. Pickens is in rarified air when it comes to lousy teammates. So, let's define "lousy teammate". You seem to have it confused with popularity. A lousy teammate is one that sets the team back during games with bonehead personal foul penalties. Pickens has wracked up almost 300K in fines for his on field behavior. A lousy teammate is late to team meetings and completely oblivious to the fact their behavior impacts their team and teammates in a negative way. His relationship with Tomlin has nothing to do with it. His behavior is narcissistic and immature. Thats not on Tomlin. All of this behavior...... the temperamental personal foul penalties...... mentally checking out of games/ giving inconsistent effort....... being late to or skipping team meetings..... all of this was on full display at UGA. Nothing has changed.

I've got Antonio Brown and Pickens in a class by themselves in Steeler lore. They couldn't wait to get rid of him and Dallas was the only team knocking on their door for him.

Or you could be just exaggerating to make a point. But you do you.

Would you like me right now to go point out maybe 16 new threads since yesterday that have at minimum 200 or more started by some of our own mods some of our own staff members if you're saying nobody reads this stuff then why don't they get the harassment I'm getting 200 words is not that long if it's that long you need some ADHD medicine and so does anybody else complains about it but if you don't want to read it just pass it over and I don't really care and you keep bringing it back..

It's not just Bob it's cc boy it's jazz it's a lot of others literally I could go point out about 16 of them right now they had way longer than 200 and I don't care how well written they were we're talking about 200 words now all of a sudden is about sentence structure, why don't you just let it go...

seems like I've triggered you maybe you need to take that adhd medicine and just let it go because now you have OCD because you can't let it go man that must be complicated you both have ADHD and OCD...

oh and PSS I bet I can go find plenty of yours at over two hundred words.. Oh and by the way that post I'm looking at my screen there's blue underlying letters all over your post there's missing commas all over the place so your sente I mean you're missing some apostrophes on your DONT nce structure is needing some work dude man the hypocrites in here LOL I see some double spacing where it's not supposed to be therefore there's all kinds of messed up stuff in your last post the hypocrisy is so sad around here you're trying to teach me a lesson and give me some advice and you don't even take your own...

I’m not arguing your right to your opinion. I’m arguing there is no way for either of us to know.

You have chosen 2 modern day players and indicated they are “in a class by themselves in Steelers lore”. That’s just as silly as the poster who said Pickens is one of the worst playoff performers in Steelers history. There have probably been 4000 players who moved through that organization since the 1930’s, most before the age of the internet and social media.

And if stupid personal fouls and being oblivious to his impact on a team is the criteria for the worst teammate in history, the Steelers may want to reconsider signing DK Metcalf, who has a huge reputation for personal fouls. He also said is not going to change how he plays despite Pete Carroll’s protests and wouldn’t concede it was harmful to the team. And they gave him $150M.

We both agree that he needs more maturity and impulse control. But after 3 years, it may be a little extreme to suggest he is one of the worst teammates in the Steelers history, regardless of how you want to define teammate.

The Playmaker is always 100% pro-Cowboys!
Mike is often out of control with his passionate opinions but I do miss him on the NFLN Sunday mornings,,, sure, it makes Rich Eisen's job easier but it's all kinda bland and boring now. I might as well watch the CBS pregame show.

I guess some will say Irvin doesn't know what he is talking about, or he is a homer lol.
I think cowboys now have a good shot at winning 10-12 games and getting in playoffs.
Not a doubt in my mind that they will be much better than last year when they won 7 almost 8 games.

The Skinz' arrow is definitely pointing up with that QB they've got but I do think they're overrated,,,, Dallas will be fighting them for the #2 spot IMO
