This was purely a cost cutting move and manner of speaking doesn’t matter anymore. It’s entertainment value and Michael is always entertaining.

He’ll get picked up by somebody.
Really? You don't think the drama a year ago played no factor?

He should probably look into making a podcast or something. He has enough connections to get interesting guests on.

Your criticism is off base. Talking about a guy's wardrobe color schemes is a joke. Like Skip Bayles, Paul Finbum, Mad dog, Steven A Smith and others are smooth and polished. Give me a break
Stop trying to brow beat people.

And this place complains about Skip and Smith all the time. You just crawl out from your rock?

Michael Irvin's legendary practice ethic, passionate leadership, and stellar performance as a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, afforded him the opportunities to have a long career in sports television covering the NFL--- despite his numerous transgressions away from the game when he was still a player --- that continued when he was retired while he plied his TV occupation.
With the explosion of sports media since the century started...there will be an entity \ outlet that will still seek his opinion.
Exhibit A: As long as ESPN employs Stephen A. Smith in some TV show format on their network- Irvin will be brought on in some capacity - thus continuing to collect a paycheck.
ok, but what does that have to do with whether I find his style of broadcasting to my liking?

Haven't we been down this road before? I expect Playmaker to land on his feet somewhere.

Yeah, that’s what’s supposedly happening. I’m not sure the business reasons nor do people in the industry seem to know what’s going on as of now. But it’s most likely not linked to Michael Irvin’s last issue.

That seems like a bigger & more interesting story than just the fact that they dropped Michael. So the NFL will be in control, but will hand off the running the network duties off to ESPN.

Would have done this long ago.

His manner of speaking was a bad look for television, along with his ansambels.
I feel the same about TV Personality Michael Strahan. But that's neither here nor there, I guess.

He reminded me of Emmett when he was an analyst.

To be on television you need to pronouciate better. He should have hired a speech coach to help him with that part of the business.
No chance. Thats what too much drugs will do to you.

I could not listen to him. Empty Rah Rah Phrases and wasnt able to talk. Great football player but dumb as mud.

Love the Playmaker but would rather have that energy on the field instead of turning into a media shtick figure. Irvin not much different than a player version of Steven A Smith. Often makes up for lazy analysis with his legendary energy. Not real surprised. Maybe the Cowboys past glory is fading too, and Dallas legends don’t get the same pass anymore. He will still get paid on his other network. No spilled milk.
