There's no way Deion can resist the Cowboys job if offered at a level of compensation he doesn't consider insulting. The only question will be whether two of the biggest egos in this hemisphere can possibly coexist in the same office building. And that's anybody's guess.

Let's face it. There is absolutely nothing connecting Deion to Boulder now that his boy is moving on. There is, however, the tantalizing prospect of maneuvering to bring him to Dallas in the draft (a totally-doable proposition which would be an interesting topic for another thread).

Does anyone doubt Deion would thoroughly energize this team from a motivational standpoint? Let the coordinators deal with the Xs & Os...we need a leader of men. And how fun would it be to bring Michael Irvin along to help keep the kids in line?

If we're committed to shaking it up, let's shake it up all the way.

Deion isn't one of the few coaches who Jerry won't be able to push around. It'll also be funny watching all the former players who constantly hate on the Cowboys turn into fans once Prime is hired.

Hiring someone like Deion will only prove once and for all where Jerry's priorities lie. If the focus is on trying to win something you look at a Ben Johnson type. If the goal is to keep the circus atmosphere rolling along you bring in Deion.

Personally, after 52 years of being a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, I think I may have finally reached the end of the line. Depending who Jerry brings in I might find myself at the breaking point. I might finally reach the point where I say "I hate the Dallas Cowboys", and the only person to blame for it will be Jerry friggin' Jones.

Hiring Deion could end up being the worst HC hire in the history of the NFL. Worse than Jason Garrett, Chip Kelly, Steve Spurrier, or Urban Meyer
I'm with you on this!

Maybe its just the Cowboys fan coming out of him and he is trying to talk this into existence but man this show was interesting.

I heard it live, the comment at the very end when he's saying good bye and he says "we're about to be in prime time" was either pretty telling, or maybe just meant to gain the attention that JJ craves for the team, I'm not sure which.

One name that hasn't been floated for the next Cowboy HC is Michael Ivrin. If anyone of you have watched any Miami Hurricane football games this season then you've seen Ivrin coaching the receivers over and over again, and he wasn't on the coaching staff! The man knows how to get the best out of a player and could be the secret sauce to getting the boys back to their winning ways. Just saying............

i still don’t think it’s deion.

all i ask is NO kellen moore please
Unfortunately Moore is probably the most likely choice. Most of the names being mentioned aren’t appealing.

I think this would be a good hire and would finally deviate from the norm. A team that might actually participate in free agency. Deion could have a good working relationship with the owner and some influence on changing the philosophy here. Even Ben Johnson wouldn't have that kind of pull. You know exactly how that would go if Jerry hired him and tried to undercut him at every turn. Say what you want about Sanders but he won't be the puppet and Jerry knows that. If he hires him, that means he's really prepared to make a change.

He's always been a winner who can lead a locker room AND I think the players will gravitate to a guy like that.

Right....... No one believes that, not even Troy Aikman. Otherwise he wouldn't have said what he said.

If this has legs, I can see Shilo being drafted as part of an agreement. At best, he is a 7th round pick but no way does Shedeur come since Dak was resigned. He gets to still coach one of his sons at least.

"if Deion were to come on board, I think he’d be fantastic. I think he would relate exceptionally well to the locker room. It’s amazing that for someone who’s as far removed from having played the reverence that these current players have for his career and what he was as a player. It’s pretty remarkable, and it says a lot for him. So I think he’d be fantastic no matter where he is. And as you guys have heard me say, I’m a big fan, and I would never bet against him.”
