He ain't wrong, but leadership starts with the front office. I would like to see how some of these players respond to a real HC. Some need to go - high salary and all. Can't believe the mindset of one of the Captains. He's on 105.3 the Fan right now ranting on the players. I'll transcribe a bit.
- He said he's been doing a lot of thinking about this team over the last few days and determined that "we didn't overrate the talent, we overrated the heart of the team."
- He thinks that the players don't seem like they really want it and he's shocked that they're not more bothered/motivated by all the negative things the media says about them.
- When he was asked about the team lacking a Michael Irvin type of leader on gamedays to fire up the sideline he said it's hard for the leaders to lead on Sunday if they're not leading Monday thru Saturday.
- He said that he and some players used to meet all the time at the Cowboys Cafe at Valley Ranch on their off time and plan out how they were going to win championships. He doesn't get the vibe that this group is doing that. Not enough communication btw players outside of football.
Overall he sounded incredibly frustrated with this group of players.
Garrett’s conservative game plans are a problem but it’s also on the players to do things like:Well, it's largely his fault for refusing to call out Jason Garrett's inept coaching.
Michael Irvin blames everyone else but Garrett and has helped create this mess by talking to Jerry with his input but refusing to call Jason out.
Very, very true. I tried to say the same thing this morning, just didnt come out as well.We have a lame duck coach without a contract. The media harped on this point, by mid year the players gave up on the lame coach. All Jerry’s doing.
Meyer isnt coming here. Jerry isnt giving up control. This is precisely why this team needs a coach like Meyer. To me he’s the 2020 version of Jimmy Johnson.
Frustrated like the rest of usHe's on 105.3 the Fan right now ranting on the players. I'll transcribe a bit.

This organization can’t handle truth. Top to bottom they’ve got their heads in the sand.
millennial players are not your fathers Cowboys. Think Dallas water down due to the cap and then another splash because of the times. Yep, 50/50 ball. what separates the top from the bottom is closing in. Good coaches and management is what wins today, not the players as much as in the past. He's on 105.3 the Fan right now ranting on the players. I'll transcribe a bit.

Players will lash out on Irvin for making such comments about them! There will be no slander in this locker room! You heard it here first folks! D-Law will tell him to look in the mirror and Dak will reassure him that we control our destiny!
