It's the offseason. Things are slow. Something I noticed and wanted to share. Watch this video. You've probably seen it before but watch it again through my eye...

Please pay no attention to the abomination of Rayne winning rookie of the year while a vastly superior rookie stands beside him. That's not the point. We all hate that. We don't need the negative comments about it.

No. Watch Michael Irvin. Or Irving, for half our crowd. He's in attendance and is shown at the 2:13 mark of the video. Look at the man. That's genuine. You would think his own son just won that award. "Cowboys, baby!....My boys!" he clearly says. He's shown again at the 2:25 mark bouncing out of his seat. He's a proud papa.

(Watch it on Youtube. It's worth it and it would really help me out with the rest of this post.)

Now understand, Michael Irvin doesn't really have much of a connection to Ezekiel Elliott or what's his face. He used to play on the team they play for now. 20 years ago. That's it. He's moved on to a career in media. There is absolutely no reason why you would expect him to react in that fashion.

Notice the difference in reactions from Irvin and teammates of Zeke and the other guy. Their head coach. Even a former Cowboy in Deion Sanders. It's night and day.

This is why Michael Irvin is and probably always will be my favorite Dallas Cowboy of all time. Coach or player. Because with Irvin it's truly all about this....

Others talk it. Mike walks it. The stats, the fame, the glory, they all pale in comparison to the logo. Team. It's all about team. America's Team.

He's the only coach or player I've ever seen on this team who I definitively know loves the Cowboys as much as any fan. Unconditionally. For life.

Michael Jerome Irvin. The greatest Dallas Cowboy of all time.

As you obviously are a follower on his Twitter page you also know he didn't say jack after the GB game until last week. His passion for HIS team is still evident today and why I admire him even more now since he has been away from the game for over 20 years. He is the man!

Nice obsession, I agree about Irvin. BTW, if you are a real Cowboy fan, and I believe you are, I hope you will be kissing "what's his face's" behind very soon. LOL

Irvin is the man. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys before he was a Cowboy.

I wish he could be our coach. HC's don't need to be necessarily X's and O's guys....they must be motivators, and he can do that!

man, you're getting desperate with your trolling for likes by making a suck up post like this

looks like the off season has you worried about whether you'll continue to get your "fix"

If you see a glowing post about Dak started by him, then call a wahbulance because he'll be knee deep in the throes of withdrawals and in desperate need of help

He was still hurting WEEKS after Green Bay game...that was my confirmation that I am not crazy...because I was hurt, angry, disgusted, confused etc...

And make no mistake...he was clear when he said that 13 - 3 did NOT constitute a successful season. I bring this up...because many fans were bright eyed and bushy tailed a few days after the loss and ready to talk NFL draft.....ready to talk about how excited they are about the future. I am not there. Not sure I will even be there UNTIL we are back in the playoffs and once again in a position to make a Super Bowl run. Because it has been over 20 years since we have gotten past the divisional round...and if you are in your mid 40s or older...you understand when I tell you that numbness has set in for me. Will I pay attention to the draft? Yes. Will I pay attention to training camp? Yes. Will I watch pre-season? Doubt it...can't stand preseason football. Will I watch the regular season? Of Course! But my adrenaline will really kick in if/when we are in the playoffs and poised to get this monkey off our backs!!!!!!!!!!

Umm, I would say emmitt is just as passionate...but he has a different personality than irvin.

Emmitt is at a ton of games, always supporting them, posts before and after every game they play, talks about their stars, how he's proud of zeke the man, how zeke is better, etc. etc.
Emmitt might be passionate about the team but it's not even close to the level of Irvin

Thats why I said different personalities. Emmitt is a business man. Irvin is a talk show host.

Just different people, my point was, I wouldnt say emmitt is less passionate than irvin.
