It’s tough as a fan when you invest so much and you know your ceiling with a group of people

With these guys, the ceiling is 13-3 with an easy schedule and a home playoff loss. That’s the best you’ll be.

Garrett is incapable of continued success, and doesn’t know how to adjust on the fly. It’s nevee gonna go how you plan the week leading up. The other team has ways of throwing a monkey wrench into things. The good coaches figure out how to counter and put his players in the best place to succeed

When hey win games, they usually do it in spite of Garrett. Something has to change. 7 years of this should be enough to make a change

Remember guys (and gals), its a process. Probably the next time this happens the "process" will lead to us having a plan B. BTW, where was the line coach yesterday. He should have been talking to Chaz after every series. If he wasn't then its poor coaching, along with poor talent.

Garrett has only been coaching since 2005 yet was handed the keys to the premier franchise in sports after 5 years. There are dozens of assistant coaches around the league that have coached since the 70's/80's yet never gifted such an opportunity. Yes, I'd bet $100 there is an under current of disdain for Garrett around the league for using his relationship with Jerry to shortcut his rise up the coaching ladder.

The rest of the league LOVES the fact that Jerry continues to employ the horrid Garrett. Why wouldn't they? It assures that the Cowboys will never be true contenders.

mike lombardi is an nfl nobody. Why he gets to say this stuff to garrett I dont get.

also, this is one of bryan broaddus closest buddies in the league. well neither is actually in the league but I always find it interesting after we lose lombardi goes after garrett.

its interesting. Lombardi never did anything.

What? You're suggesting that someone should be stopping him from criticizing Garrett?

How good Lombardi did at his job is certainly debatable. But he's hardly a nobody. He spent 30 years working for various NFL teams.

Garrett's a terrible coach. See, I just did the same thing Lombardi did. Our HC and his staff are a joke and they gave us an eyeful of their ineptitude yesterday.

That's Linehan's job.
But it would be Garrett's job after awhile to ask Linehan why they weren't adjusting.
And if neither acted, it would be Dak's job to force adjustments pre-snap.
Linehan didn't win Coach of the year..

I don't even think it was 5 years...if we consider that he was made o-coordinator after I think 1 year of experience overall in coaching.
Of course, look what McVay has done in half a season.

Sean McVay is the coach I think Jerry thinks Garret was - young, innovative, creative, organized, etc...there is a "day in the life" of Sean McVay on youtube - you hear all the same stuff that Garret preaches, but he combines that with creativity or something. Plus you should watch that video and wait until he comes home and his girlfriend greets him...he became my hero. lol.

he can say what he wants about the teams performance. Calling garrett the clapper shows who he is.

this guy is full of it and nobody should listen to him anyway. I remember him when he used to do weekly fan spots here. One time I listened to him talk to the guys at the fan about the upcoming game and then I heard him on the station in seattle later that day talking about the game and gave an exact 180 take to the seattle guys.

I dont care about anything he says. Calling garrett the clapper reveals who he is.

Did you disagree with what I said?

1st Linehan, being that it literally his job to coordinate the offense and call plays, needs to make a move
2nd, if he doesn't, then HC should step in. So JG should have stepped in
3rd, if neither does, the QB needs to audible out of that protection scheme (really #3 should occur anyway, but maybe not with a guy this young..not sure)

Agreed, I wasn't clear. I was trying to say is; Garrett gets all the OC & DC s credit which got him COY. So he should get all of the fire now that things aren't so great...

The lack of respect for this organization/team/coaches on and off the field is starting to become a crisis. You got ex-NFL personnel breaking code and calling our HC a "clapper". Really? From Tom Landry to this.....wow.

I don't know, man. Some of the tweets directed at Landry in the late 80s were very disrespectful.

This guys has been in the league for a long time and has 28 career sacks, and almost a quarter of them came yesterday. Enbarrassing.

6 sacks.

Sack. Sack. Sack. Sack. Sack. Sack.

1.5 sacks per quarter.

A sack six pack.

The coach has to be called out when that happens.

I don't invest as much as I used to, probably some of that is age but it's also 20+ years of nothing.

I'm fine with a coaching change, but I don't expect miracles. Garrett is the 5th coach the Cowboys have had since winning Super Bowl XXX with Switzer (and Jimmy's players). It seems the problem predates JG.

The qb is only going to call an audible when he sees a hole in the defense or a look he doesnt like. The hole was in Chaz, it didnt take a fancy defense to get there either. Im not sure how much Dak could have done.

Im not blaming Dak.
But of course you can audible to shift protection to a double team or chip...though you might be going against the original play call without obvious scheme reason. Thats why it was option 3 first option 1.

If you disagree, Im fine with that. Its not a point I wish to debate right now
