the games last week say much differentlyLol.
Penix is a first-round talent, no question. But he's a mile behind Williams and Maye.

One game doesn't supersede 3 years.the games last week say much differently
penix has a nice body of work and is accurate. Caleb is raw and that was shown. The ability is real with Caleb but I think we need to see more against equal teams. One game doesn't supersede 3 years.
Penix is two years older, he should be more polished and productive.
Penix is legit as a passer. I want to see him show some more mobility though
Rodney Peete beat Troy Aikman twice in college. One game doesn't supersede 3 years.

Agree to an extent but it’s hard to fine that dude that can move and be good enough to read the D and be mobile.Mobility is the acid test for modern day QBs IMO. The middle of the NFL QB pack is full of smart dudes with great throwing mechanics, who can't get past their average physical ability. Kirk Cousins, Jared Goff, Jimmy G, and yeah, I would put Dak in there too.
There just aren't any more elite Peyton Manning, Tom Brady style pocket passers any more. Joe Burrow is probably as close as you will get, and he was a heck of a lot better prospect than Penix. QBs now have to move and have to be able to throw from bad angles.
Your MVP contenders are all physical outliers, with some combo of size, speed, and arm strength. Penix looks like another Jared Goff type. Good if you have a bad team, but bad if you have a good team, because he won't get you over the top.
He is not good. And a lefty. No thanks. How come no one is talking about him?
Geno Smith isn't that mobile. He had 342 rushing yards in college.Yeah I've lost all interest in Penix...he is not that good. Geno Smith with no mobility
I remember people saying that Peete would make a better QB for the Cowboys than Troy. Oh man ...Rodney Peete beat Troy Aikman twice in college.
Aikman went #1 overall, Rodney went in the 6th round.
Years later, Rodney was Troy's back-up.
